"So." Quinn said. "Now that we're finally alone, what do you think of Shawn?"
"He's okay." Finn responded.
Quinn raised her eyebrow. "Just okay?"
"I don't know him that well yet." Finn pointed out. "But you seem really happy, so I'm happy for you."
"Thank you." Quinn said.
"Sure." Finn replied.
"Thank you." Quinn repeated. "I know it's probably hard for you to see me with someone else, but you've been so mature about this."
"I'm trying." Finn swore. "I'm gonna get over you, I promise."
"Okay." Quinn nodded slowly.
"But while we're talking about things, I think we should have more rules." Finn decided.
"Rules?" Quinn asked.
"Boundaries." Finn clarified. "For our friendship."
Quinn furrowed her eyebrow.
"I don't think we should say I love you to each other anymore." Finn stated. "Out of respect for each other's relationships."
"Okay." Quinn muttered.
"I just think it'll help me if we don't blur the lines of our friendship." Finn told Quinn. "I wanna make sure I don't ruin what we have."
"You're not ruining anything, Finn. I..." Quinn trailed off as she met Finn's eyes. "I care about you. You know that."
"I care about you." Finn nodded. "And Beth."
"Thank you." Quinn said. "Honestly, I don't know what Beth and I would do without you."
"Well, lucky for you, you don't have to find out anytime soon." Finn promised. "Now come on, help me with the decorations."
"Beth's gonna be so excited to see all of this." Quinn noted. "Do you think it's a little too much?"
"It always is, but Beth's gonna love it."
