"I know who you are..." he whispered, tugging some of my hair behind my ears.

I looked at his face, trying to find out who he is.

And why he is doing this to me.

Behind is mask, I heard a couple of sniffles.

He's crying.

"I know your... our... past." He cried.

I glanced down at my shoes, not knowing what to say.

"Soojung, why can't you put all the puzzle pieces together? We... we were something." He choked on his tears.

He grabbed my hands, desperate for answers.

"Why don't you understand? Everything is so obvious... it took me long enough to find out our identity... but you... you're taking too long. Too long for me handle. Soojung, I know you're identity. I know our past."

My body finally woke up before dawn, a wet puddle beside me on the pillow.

My face was all dry and sticky, and I could tell my makeup was a mess.

I heard snores beside me.

No, not on the bed beside me.

Next to the bed beside me.

Seungho was sleeping soundly on the floor next to the bed, muttering some things while he slept.

I instantly thought of Jongin.

Oh, poor Jongin.

Right now, all I want to do is escape with Jongin.

To just be next to him and feel his presence next to mine.

I quietly got off the bed, trying to not wake Seungho up.

Placing my hand on the door knob and slowly pulling it open, I looked out the door and looked for any signs of life.

Nope.

It was just a dark house with no signs of life.

"Master Shin and Kiyoung are probably sleeping." I whispered to myself, slowly tiptoeing outside.

I turned right, then right again, where I met the flight of stairs.

"I'm going to die trying to go down." I muttered.

My body wasn't feeling too well.

Because, well, I haven't any fluids.

Plus, I haven't taken any medicine to help with my anemia.

I crouched onto the floor, slowly making my way down the stairs.

My butt hurt as I slid down, cursing every time I hit the next step.

And a mishap happened.

Near the middle of the stairs, I started sliding full-body down the stairs.

No, sledding down the stairs.

Somehow, my pants decided to get slippery on the marble steps.

I made it to the end of the flight of stairs with a loud "THUNK!"

"Aish...!" I swore, finding strength to pull my body off from the floor.

I crept over to the next flight of stairs, which was right under the previous one.

I repeated what I had done on the previous steps, trying to be more careful this time.

But, no, it ending quite the same way.

"Nuguseyo?" A voice whispered, barely so no one else could hear.

"Is it you, Soojung?" The voice asked again.

I got up onto my feet, walking to where I heard the voice.

The "living room" of the basement looked exactly the same as the living room upstairs.

And that's when it got complicated.

You see, this is a mansion.

This mansion has three floors.

And each floor has how many rooms?

About 5-8 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 2 other rooms.

This is like a labyrinth.

"Jongin?" I called out, walking toward one of the doors and tried to open it.

Locked.

"Soojung..." a voice called out again, about 10 meters away from me.

About 10 meters to the right side of where I was facing.

I walked forward 15 steps, looking around for more clues.

"I'm here!" The voice now demanded me to come to his spot.

I jogged over to the voice, the door was left unlocked.

I turned the handle and took a look inside.

And, oh my god, it was a torturing room.

"Oh my..." I trailed off.

It had one of those electric chairs, a bunch of swords, guns, whips, and burning irons hanging on a shelf.

It looked like a torture cell from the Joseon era.

Except, more modernized.

But as I continued to look around the room, I realized that there was no one in it.

No Jongin.

"I can't believe you fell for it." An evil voice taunted into my ear.

I turned around to face the man.

Master Shin.
