dear luna,

have you ever seen pale blue dot by carl sagan? it's not a movie, no; it's a youtube video. i quite like it, luna. it shows us how the actions of our mere lives mean absolutely nothing in the long run. we're all just made up of the same billions of molecules that have been here since the start and will continue to be here until our spinning world ceases to exist. in the end, the actions of hitler or martin luther king mean nothing; let alone my actions. i find that comforting. that it doesn't really matter what i do, since it will all be returned to dust. i think that if i disappeared tomorrow, nobody would really notice or care. i'd like to think everybody would notice if you disappeared.
