Hi I am Kou Minamoto also known as the hero, yep! you heard that right. I'm the hero who defeated the most evil witch and saved the kingdom.

You might be wondering why I'm in this old and pretty normal house. When as a hero I should be living in the palace or so where more luxurious than this.

Well that's because since the evil witch is defeated now, and peace is on the lands of Kamome. I've got nothing to do anymore, well their might be something.

However I don't enjoy going to parties or teaching noble spoiled brats. So here I am in a random village trying not to get recognize and live normally as possible.

“Phew...” ‘Nice and clean.’ kou thought as he observed his surroundings. And a knock on the door, was heard.

Kou opened the door and saw his landlord standing outside.

“Oh hello lady Yashiro what may I do for you?” he asks.

“Ahh so polite, unlike other people.” she rolled her eyes “Anyways your going to have a neighbour tomorrow, she'll be moving in anytime in the week. I'm not really sure.” yashiro smiled.

“Oh really well being alone here is kinda lonely.” kou smiled.

“Thats great! OK I hope you two get along now she's also from the capital I think? Which would mean you have something in common.” she waves goodbye and left after infoming kou with his new neighbour.

‘New neighbour Huh?’ kou thought and looked up at the other room, the empty room. Where his new neighbour will stay and smiled.

Yes a neighbour would be perfect for his normal life. I guess he wouldn't feel lonely and restless anymore. Although it was peaceful however being the hero who spend lots of time training and being prepared for everything that could happen.

He couldn't help but still be vigilant at every turn. Maybe a neighbour could help him calm down and finally settle down for real.

Kou closed his eyes took a deep breath and smiled and exhaled opening his eyes as he did so.

Kou opened his door and was surprised to meet someone who also just got out of their room.

“Ummm are you the new tenant?” he questioned

“Oh why yes that's me! Do you need anything?” she answered and questioned.

“Oh well then welcome! I'm kou! Your neighbour!” he offered his hand for a handshake.

“Ah Umm yes I'm Mitsuba!” Mitsuba seems confused at first then accepted kou's handshake.

“Ohh how funny you have the same name as the evil witch!”
Kou humored but didn't notice Mitsuba stiffen up.

Mitsuba awkwardly laughed with kou “Haha yeah Umm not exactly i-i was named from my my Umm.... My parents names that were put together.” Mitsuba awkwary explained clearly not being comfortable being called the evil witch.

“O-oh I'm sorry thats a good name though Ummm what about me I have the same name of the hero!” kou tried to get rid of the tense atmosphere.

“Oh yeah Hahahah wow how funny coincidence's are.” Mitsuba smiled.

“I know right! But we are friends right?” kou asked in uncertainity I mean he just nearly implied she's the evil witch a while ago.

“Well of course!” mitsuba smiled.

“Thats great! Oh may I ask when did you come? I didn't hear anyone knock last night?”

“Oh well I already asked for a spare key from lady Yashiro.”
