You've known Joshua (Josh) for about 4 years now.
You met him at the Company you work for which is (Your/Company/Job.)
You have loved working there for a long time, and meeting Josh there was just perfect. He was the definition of perfect.
His family wasn't so great though. It was a little broken.
He had a gay brother (Nothing wrong with that though!), his sister just had her heart broken and could be suicidal, and his mother...well...no one talked about his mother.
You never asked about her. Whenever you brought it up, Josh would change the subject.
Once you both started dating, you started to know the family better. Although, no one really liked you. Which was fine...I guess.
You, Josh, Julie, Pete, Maureen, and Adam, were all walking around the lake of their backyard.
You were all talking, you and Josh hand-in-hand.
Josh tugged you closer, and you smiled at him, as he pressed a loving kiss on your head.
"You doing okay?" He asked.
"Yup," You said, popping the "p". "Although, I think you're family doesn't really like me."
"They don't like anybody," Josh said, having you giggle.
"So, Joshua," Pete said. "What is the reason you brought all of us out here?"
"Well," Josh said, taking both of your hands, before digging in his pocket and pulling out a box. "I would like you all to witness this special moment."
He got down on one knee, having you gasp, using both hands to cover your mouth.
"Y/n, the moment I saw you I knew I wanted you to be mine, and for me to be yours," Josh said, tears starting to well in your eyes. "We've been dating for a year now, and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you. I love you so so much, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, until we're gray and old. Will you do the honors of being my wife?"
"YES!" You squealed, jumping into Josh's arms.
He held you closely, choking a happy sob.
He slowly slipped the ring on your finger, and you admired it, before looking at him, and pecking him on the lips.
