I took my elevated hand and knocked. I was at the front door of Billy Loomis' house. It was a smaller home, nothing compared to Stu or Sidney, but I suppose a big home wasn't needed for a family of two. As I let cold air escape my mouth, a lengthy, skinny, boy with messy dirty-blonde hair opened the door blocking most of the way, "Hey hot stuff, coming in?" I rolled my eyes pushing past him, "Ha, ha, very funny Stu. It's fucking freezing." He shut the door behind us before putting his hands on my waist, "Come onnn, Y/N, lighten up, I can keep you warm." I felt his hot breath on my neck, making a shiver go down my spine. I put my hands on him, pushing them off to look back at him with an irritated face. He smiled stupidly and put his hands up defensively like he had no clue why I would be upset. "Stu, who is it?" rang a familiar masculine voice, Billy's I presume. "Just movie freaks girlfriend," he laughed as he walked ahead of me down the hall. The interior was homey, the walls blank with simple white paint, the occasional family photo framed, although it was mostly just pictures of Billy growing up. There was a small doorway on the right of the hallway, unsure of what it led to, I peeked in as we passed. It was a smaller kitchen, a few dirty dishes sat in the sink, while the rest of it seemed spotless. As we continued, I was led to a living room, it had two big brown leather couches facing each other with a rectangular coffee table in between. Tatum was laid out on one couch, while Sidney and Billy were cuddled up on the other. "Hey, Tate and Sid," I said smiling at them, I looked to Billy who had an empty annoyed look, "Bill," I said nodding my head in his direction. He nodded back toward me before looking back to Sid and kissing her. I looked to Tatum whose attention was on Stu who had decided to comfortably make out on top of one another. "Uhm, may I use the restroom?" I asked, looking towards Billy, "uh, yeah sure...I guess. Down that hall, to the left." He raised his hand a bit before placing it back on Sidney's waist making her giggle. I nodded, knowing he wasn't even looking at me, and began to walk.

After I finished using the bathroom, I walked back out. Stu and Billy were nowhere to be seen, but Tate and Sid were talking to each other. "Hey, where are the boys?" I asked, making them turn their attention toward me. "They had to go talk or whatever, but, hey Y/N, can you go grab me a beer, I'm empty." I shrugged my shoulders at Tatum's request and walked toward the kitchen. I didn't really know quite why I was here, I mean, I thought Randy might be here when Tatum said the whole gang was going to be here. I shook the thought from my head, chasing a little crush was so stupid. I began to walk into the hall, leading back into the kitchen, Tatum and Sidney's conversation fading away. I opened the refrigerator door, unsure of where to look or where the beer may even be. As I scanned the fridge, the silence was apparent. I blinked before my eye reached the bottom of the fridge door, I grabbed a single beer, with a sigh leaving my mouth. The silence was aery at this point, the only sounds noticeable were the quiet revving of the fridge and my breathing. A shiver ran down my spine, I felt like I was being watched. I closed the fridge door swiftly, a quick relief washing down me as no one was there. I've got to stop letting Randy talk me into watching horror movies, gives me so much paranoia. I took a deep breath before taking a step out of the kitchen doorway. "BOO!" I screamed loudly as my eyes flew open. The silence was filled with Randy's attractive laughter. "ASSHOLE!" I yelled as he put his hand on his stomach, tears about to fall out of his eyes from laughter. I put my free hand up pushing lightly onto his chest. "Randy, that wasn't funny." I looked at him, arching my brow waiting for an apology. "Okay okay, I'm sorry scream queen, I couldn't help it," as he was gasping for air Tatum and Sidney began to walk up. "Did someone commit murder over here?" Tatum asked, snatching the beer from my hand. Billy and Stu found themselves behind the girls suddenly in a matter of seconds. Tatum took notice, handing her beer to Stu prompting him to open it. "Where were you guys?" Sidney questioned, all of us bringing our attention to them for their answers. "Just showing him a new thing I got, anyways, everyone okay?" Billy asked, shifting the conversation, but no one really had anything to say. "Just a scream from scaredy cat over here," Randy said trying to relieve the room of some awkward tension. Stu began to laugh, "Funny man, anyways, Tatum wanna go and show me that new...bottoms you got?" Tatum rolled her eyes at Stu's suggestive comment, "I guess, it's getting pretty boring here anyways..." Sidney smiled at Tatum, as here and Stu began to walk past me and Randy. I looked at Randy who returned a similar look of, 'Let's get the fuck out of here.' "Well, I guess we will be heading out of here too. Biology test." Sidney nodded as Billy stood there. "I'll help you study," Randy said with a smirk, I nodded as I gave a hug to Sidney. "Ill see you, Sid. Have fun you two." I said suggestively, as I turned to grab Randy's hand. Randy had no hesitation as he opened the door for me. I let a subtle sigh out as Randy shut the front door behind us.

As soon as we stepped outside, I could feel the cold air hit me once again. I shivered, Randy taking notice wrapped his arm around me, "Don't go dying of hypothermia, I still need to make you watch Leatherface III." I looked at him with a disgusted look on my face, "Yeah no thank you, I hated the first one, too gory." He ignored my judgment as he continued to have his hand around my waist. I couldn't help but feel safe and secure in his embrace. We started to move towards his car. "Do you really have a bio test to study for?" He asked letting go and going to the driver's side of the car. He unlocked it and I quickly got in to protect myself from the cold winds. I waited for him to shut the door before I answered. "No, I just don't really feel good around those guys. Billy is always giving me the stink eye." I felt Randy look at me, "I know what you mean, ever since his parents...well you know, ever since they split he's been.." Randy got silent for a second. "Weird." I finished for him. Randy looked away from me putting his keys into the ignition. "Yes, but distant. I've known the guy a bit longer, but still, I feel bad." I knew it was bad to say what I had said about him. I would be the same way after my parents split. "Yeah, you're right. Anyways, where are we going?" I looked at him as a smile plastered his face, his blue eyes turned to me excitedly. "It's a surprise." Randy always loved surprises.

I shut the door behind me and walked towards my floor-length mirror. I analyzed my body, I never loved it but never truly disliked it. I sighed turning my head towards my closet, walking up slowly before sifting through all my tops on hangers. I had no idea what to wear. Randy always said I look amazing no matter what I wore, so I grabbed a cute blouse. It was white with light yellow and orange flowers patterned all over, with a loose bow falling between the chest. I draped the top over my arm, crouching to sift through my jeans. I grabbed a basic pair of bootcut jeans, with hearts embroidered on the pockets, and my black high-top Converse that paired nicely with everything. After I got dressed, I decided to leave my hair untouched and make up simple. I analyzed myself with the mirror one more time. I was pleased with my appearance, before stepping out the bedroom door. As I began to walk to the kitchen, Randy sat at the bar, drinking a cup of orange juice, his lips leaving the cup and his eyes turned to me. "Woah..." He said, as he quickly put his glass down and stood up. "Do I look okay? Too overdressed." He shook his head, "Not at all, love." My heart skipped a beat as he called me that, I could never get enough. I smiled as he walked over, placing a hand on my cheek, making me look at him, my eyes entranced by his. "You look gorgeous," he spoke softly, his lips coming to mine for a soft light kiss. I smiled as he released too quickly, "Hey..." I muttered as a smirk appeared on his face, he took his hand from my cheek before checking his watch on his wrist. "We have to go." I let out a slight giggle before he headed towards the door, me following behind and grabbing my bag and keys on the way out. "Bye Sid and Hal!" I said before I closed the door behind me.

Randy took my hand, as I walked alongside him. As we left the school dorms behind us, lots of other students were on the lawn, having picnics or having a small game of football. I looked up at Randy who looked a bit focused on our destination. "Soo, are you going to reveal where we are going or keep it a big secret?" I smiled, as Randy looked back at me, "You know I love a good surprise." I rolled my eyes before letting out a laugh, "Is it the theater?" I asked, the movies are not far from campus. I figured the answer would be no, because of the new movies premiering this week. "Definitely not. You just have to wait." I looked down at our hands, as I let out a small fake sigh, getting a chuckle out of Randy. We continued our way, heading towards the main shopping center of the small college town. The best part of the college waist being close to the shopping center, when Randy was at work, me and Hallie spent time shopping for the next Delta Lambda Zeta party. I didn't understand her motivations for joining the sorority but I wasn't in any place to discourage her. I felt horrible when the girls would ignore her and talk to Sidney, or even sometimes me. Relieving the thought from my head, Randy began to tug on my hand just a bit, towards my favorite diner. "Moonie's Diner," was a popular restaurant, it was filled with 50's memorabilia, and it is open 24/7, which definitely helps business, with all the college students who pull all-nighters. He opened the door, making smells of pancakes and bacon drift to the street as we fully stepped in, the scent devouring us. I felt my stomach rumble as breakfast sounded amazing. We looked around, the diner was barely filled, with only one or two other single customers.

Randy and I sat down in a booth by the window, the sunlight shining in. I couldn't help but feel grateful for Randy, and for this moment of warmth with the chaos of our everyday life.
