But she rarely ever feels disgusted with herself.

He doesn't know how, but it was leaked to the media.

He suspects it was Linda, but that doesn't matter right now. What matters is the fact the entire world knows what happened and will be invested in this.

They'll be pleading and begging for any kind of information.

He wants to keep Jesse in the dark, he doesn't want her to worry about this.

But he also knows she needs to know. She can't just go unprepared into this, people aren't the nicest and she doesn't need to be subjected to such cruelty before she even knows she'll be receiving it.

The media can be ruthless.

He'll have to call her, she's hopefully still in the apartment so he doesn't have to worry too much.

He dials and waits for her answer.

What if they start blaming her? That would ruin her.

He feels a pang of guilt before-

"Dad?"

"Jesse, I...I'm sorry. It was leaked to the media, luckily they don't seem to have any pictures or-".

"Oh".

He stops, waiting for her to say anything else. She doesn't.

"Jesse?"

"I'm sorry, but....everyone knows?"

"Yes".

Once more, only silence.

"Oh, I'm...sorry".

"What for?" He asks. She can't be serious.

"The organization is going to have to clean this one up too because of me", she stated. Sounding so numb yet so emotional.

Oscar pauses. "What? Jesse it's not your fault, no matter what anyone says".

"It is, all because I went as a whore", he freezes.

He can feel his rage slowly yet surely rising.

That motherfucker-

"How you were dressed is irrelevant to the fact that you were assaulted, you didn't consent, therefore it was a crime".

Again, silence.

"Jesse".

"Yeah, sorry, can I just go back to sleep?"
