It was a beautiful lovely Monday morning. Obanai, was taking a walk enjoying his day when out of the blue * CAW CAW "Report to the Masters house immediately" said Obanai's crow. And just when he thought he was gonna have a peaceful day.
{ At Masters House }
Obanai POV:
I arrived at Masters house. Everyone was their but. The Water Pillar. Of course he was late I'm just gonna forget about him. The doors open and master came out. "As you can see I have called you all here today and some of you already may have noticed The water pillar isn't here now do not worry about that. What I called you here for is because you have missions I will assign you in pairs". So he knows the water pillar isn't here today huh?. "Sanemi Shinazugawa and Gyomei Himejima head to **********. Tengen Uzui and Kyojuro Rengoku head to **********. Mitsuri Kanroji and Shinobu Kocho head to **********. Now Obanai you stay here since you do not have a mission and Muichiro you can stay if you like or leave if you want. The rest of you head out.". I wonder why I and Muichiro don't have a mission?.
Nobody POV:
As everyone left Obanai was left alone with the master. Him wondering why he and Muichiro didn't get a mission like the rest of them. He was about to ask when. "You must be wondering why you are here and that is because I have only one duty for you. You're mission Iguro Obanai is to take care of Tomioka Giyuu he has fallen very ill. The people at the butterfly estate are currently really busy with taking care of Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke. And so they asked me to get a hashira to take care of The water pillar and you were the only hashira who doesn't have any missions today.".
Obanai POV:
ME! Take care of the WATER PILLAR. No way in history. But I have to since Master asked. "Yes sir I will do so". "Thank you now head along". I quickly bowed and headed to the Butterfly Mansion. Of all people I had to be the one who didn't have missions. I would have been happy but now knowing that I have to take care of Tomioka is outrageous. I was so zoned out in my thoughts that when I finally snapped out of them I was at the Butterfly Mansion. "Ughhhhh I don't want to be here" I said under my breath so nobody would hear. "Ah the Serpent Pillar you're finally here come follow me this way" said a short little girl and quickly bowed. I followed the short little girl to a room where Tomioka was laying in bed asleep. What a Loser I thought. "Ms. Aoi left a note on what to do. I will be going now". She quickly bowed and left to another room. I just stood their looking at Tomioka asleep in bed. I should probably look at the note Aoi left. I walked over to the nightstand that was next to Tomioka and saw a note lying their. I picked up and it read.
From: Aoi
Thermometer - To check his temperature
Cool packets - For his fever - Place one on his forehead, one on his stomach, and two on his back
Simmered Salmon with Daikon his favorite dish - I left a note on how to make it in the kitchen
********** - To lift up the bed so he can sit down
******* - To get rid of his headaches
Pain killers - To remove any pain Tomioka has
******** - To get rid of his nausea
Tylenol - To get most of his fever away
Cough drops - should help with his cough
********* - for his sore throat
********* - if his body feels weak
and lastly just make sure he is doing fine.
Huh?. So Simmered Salmon with Daikon is his favorite dish huh?. Oh well let me check if he has a fever. I gently place my hand on his forehead. His skin is so soft. I thought it would be rough uh uhm anyways his head is really hot (Ayo! What kind of hot? 🤨🤨🤨😏😏😏). Wait I could have just used the thermometer...I'll just grab some of the Cool packs. I open it and grab one and place it on his forehead and hear "ah! That's cold". Which startled me. Tomioka then proceeded to shiver. His eyes slowly open still half asleep "Where's Aoi?" He questioned me. "I don't know". He tilted his head and looked like how a puppy looks at you when their confused but his eyes half asleep. I couldn't help but think 'cute' wait... WHAT?. Ugh stupid, intrusive, privacy invading thoughts.
Giyuu POV:
I was asleep when I felt something cold land on my forehead. "ah! That's cold" I shouted and then shivered. "Where's Aoi?" I question Iguro. "I don't know?". Which led me to tilting my head in confusion. He just stared at me not saying a word. " I'm gonna have to one these on you're stomach so lift up you're shirt a little". I didn't say anything to his response and rather just looked at the ceiling. He just lifted up my shirt and gently put the cool packet on which sent a shiver down my whole body. He must've noticed cause right after that he put a blanket on top of me. I know I didn't really seem like it but I enjoyed his company. *cough cough*. "Here these should help". He held out a cough drop and gave it to me. I took the cough drop and swallowed it.
Obanai POV:
"Have you ate anything yet?". He answered my question with shaking his head left and right. "Ok then I'll be right back".
I quickly headed to the kitchen and read the note on how to make Simmered Salmon with Daikon. Realizing that it probably wasn't gonna be enough to feed Tomioka I made some rice balls. And added some Mochi and Dango on the side. I was getting some water when I heard. *THUD*. I jumped up and went to go check on Tomioka but he wasn't in bed I started to look around for him. Until I found him in front of the bathroom door laying on the ground. "YOU SHOULDN'T BE GETTING UP WITH THE STATE YOU'RE IN. YOU SHOULD AT LEAST ASK FOR HELP!!" I yell at him which made him flinch. He then mumbled something under his breath but he said it so quietly that I couldn't hear what he said. "What did you say?" I ask him. He gives me no response. "If you don't tell me you can lay on the floor and I won't help you". He just stares at me and say's nothing. Ugh this idiot. I help him get up and walk him into the restroom I then close the bathroom door behind me and then start walking to the kitchen. I finally finish making the tray for Tomioka-San.................. wait SAN!. Since when do I call him SAN?. I have to stop it with these stupid, intrusive, privacy invading thoughts (very detailed I see 🤨). I start walking to where Tomioka's room is and he's not in bed. That damn Tomioka!. I place the tray down on the nightstand and go towards the restroom. I knock no response. I knock again no response. "That's it I'm coming in!". I open the door and to my surprise he isn't there where could that bastard be!?. I decided to go check outside and there he was holding his sword practicing. THAT IDIOT HE COULD GET REALLY HURT!. WAIT why do I care!?. Ugh these stupid, intrusive, privacy invading thoughts again. I go downstairs and in to the court yard and their he is lying on the ground.
Giyuu POV:
I was training in the court yard even with all the pain I had. When I saw Iguro. I was waiting for the loud scream but it never came. He simply put my hands over his shoulders and started walking me to the bedroom. It was silent the whole way their. Until Iguro said "Why do you do that?" He questioned me. I looked at him puzzled on what he meant. "Why do you push you're self even when you're sick or hurt?" He asked. I never really thought about that so I just replied with "I don't know?". We finally got to the room. He lied me down on the bed.
Obanai POV:
I looked at Giy- Tomioka and said "Here's you're food". "Can you feed me?" He asked me. F-F-F-Feed h-h-him. My face turned a bright red. I grabbed one of the Rice balls and said "uhm uh s-s-say a-ahh". WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!? 's-s-say a-ahh' I mocked. He opened his mouth and bit some of the rice ball. I looked away knowing my face was a dark shade of red. Tomioka looked at me puzzled wondering why I was looking away but then when he realized why he started chuckling. TOMIOKA CHUCKLING. "S-stop i-it's not FUNNY!"
