Part 38

Billy had changed into a baggy gray shirt and black sweatpants. He was now covered (underneath his shirt) with bandages all around his chest and waist. Some type of cream covered his injuries. It would help him heal, according to Hopper. Hop had left to leave him to get changed, promising to the boy that he wouldn't say anything to Steve. That Billy could tell him if he wanted to.

Of course Steve already knew about Neil, but he had never really seen the physical evidence on Billy. Billy took deep breaths, looking into the mirror in the bathroom, making sure he didn't look like he had been crying and trembling like before. When he decided he was okay, he finally walked out of the bathroom. Scared that by some magical way, Steve would know about his crying. But when he entered the living room, he was only met with an extremely happy Steve and two happy, giddy girls. Billy couldn't help but smile slightly before he sat down beside Steve. their shoulders touching. Steve giggled before pushing a pile of candy in front of Billy. "It's for you! El have me half of hers, and I'll give you half of mine!" Steve said happily. Billy couldn't help but sigh contently. Taking the pile of candy gently. Picking up a tiny Milky Way before unwrapping it and guiding it to Steve. Steve giggled and opened his mouth, Billy popping the candy open. Steve happily chewed when suddenly he felt Billy's hand on his jaw. He gave the blonde a questioning look before, without even a chance to react, he was pulled into a soft kiss. Steve felt himself practically melt with the tender kiss that Billy initiated. Max made a fake gagging sound as she playfully covered El's eyes. "Billy! Not in front of Steve's daughter!" Max says I'm a playfully exaggerated voice. El only giggling as she pried Max's hand away from her eyes. Steve smiled happily into the kiss, Billy matching his action before they separated. "Yeah... that's some really fucking good candy" Billy whispered jokingly. Steve blushed slightly before he huffed.

"Why'd you take so long? Took you like half an hour just to get dressed" Steve asked as he unwrapped a lollipop. Billy tensed for a second before he shrugged "I just took my time.... Didn't think there was a rush so...." Billy mumbled. Steve noticed something was wrong. Of course Steve would, he spends his days with teenagers, he knows when their lying and something is wrong. But Steve knew better than to press on. Instead, he only nodded. "That's fine" he added before he looked over at the two girls. Both giggling. It was obvious that the girls found Billy and Steve's relationship-thing cute and amusing. Steve shook his head and chuckled. "It's a little late guys. We should all go to sleep" Steve was already gathering his candy in an extra bag, slowly getting up "my back-" he complained playfully, another giggle coming from the girls and one from Billy. Max sighed "can't we stay up a little longer? Hop stays up late in the living room, so we won't be alone" She added. El immediately nodded, acting all of a sudden extremely mature. Sitting up straight. Steve playfully acted as if he were deep in thought before he nodded. "That's fine. You both can stay in here, of course. I bet Hop won't care." Steve chuckled before glancing at Billy, who in a second, was up beside Steve. The girls shifted over to their own conversation as the two boys left, walking to Steve's room.

"Aren't you gonna change?" Billy sighed, plopping down onto Steve's bed. Steve glanced at Billy, smiling softly at the sight of the other boy laying down, obviously tired from the day. "I am.... But close your eyes" Steve giggled quietly. Billy let out a playful huff before he sat up on the bed and turned around with an exaggerated sigh. Putting his hands over his eyes "Stevie, a little glance won't hurt-"

"Oh shut up, Hargrove" Billy scoffed when a shirt hit him on his head, making him duck.

In a quick minute Steve had climbed onto the bed again, now wearing red pajama pants and a dark blue shirt. Billy giggled quietly, throwing the shirt that had hit him a second ago onto the floor before he tackled Steve down onto his back with a hug. "Pretty boy!" He whispers out before he went for it and kissed Steve once again. One hand ever so slightly brushing Steve's hair. Not enough that would mess it up so Steve wouldn't get mad. Steve was a giggling mess when Billy kept attacking him with kisses. (El and Max exchanging glances before they both burst out into quiet giggles when they keep hearing Steve's quiet happy sequels and giggles and the obvious laughs and chuckles coming from Billy)

The two boys were laying down, quietly laughing, both facing each other now. "Hey, Billy?... did Hopper tell you anything?... when I mentioned it earlier you seemed kinda uncomfortable. You don't have to tell me anything! Seriously, you don't, but you can tell me..." Steve brought up quietly.

It felt like everything went quiet for a whole minute before Billy sighed quietly.

"You... you know about my... my situation right, Steve? N-Neil?" Billy's voice was a quiet, whisper now. Steve was completely silent, listening carefully. "He... he walked in on me, Steve. Hopper. He... he saw." Billy's voice was starting to cut off. Steve was slowly sliding his hand to Billy's. "He... he didn't force me to say... who... but he bandaged me up" Billy whispered. He began to slowly lift his shirt, showing Steve his white bandages around his torso. Steve whispered. "Y-you've never... Billy- you've showed me..." Steve's voice was filled with hurt and a deep sadness. Billy sighed quietly. "He didn't say anything to me after that... " He added. Steve, in a second, wrapped Billy up in the tightest hug that He had probably ever had. Steve placed a tender kiss to Billy's cheek. "I-I'm sorry Billy...." Steve murmured.

Billy was giggling quietly before he shook his head "why?..."

"I-I don't know- I guess because I wasn't th-there for you before? I don't-"

"We didn't even talk, Stevie! I was an absolute asshole to you-"

"Yeah, yeah you were but now I've learned that you're an adorable, handsome, absolutely incredible guy. You were an asshole sometimes though." Steve kissed Billy's temple, both were giggling quietly.

Both were now in each other's arms. Enjoying one another's presence. Slowly, they both drifted away into sleep.

(So, I might do a lil time skip in the next chapter. Not sure. It might only be a two day skip or a week skip. Or more. Or no skip at all! I'm still planning. I hope you liked this one :) I feel like it's very fluffy and more of a *filler* I guess. Anyways, I hope you're having an amazing time! I have literally only been watching Disney movies all day while writing so- it has been a pretty alright day! How was your's? :3)

((Also, I wanted to do a chapter where Steve does something's special for Billy's birthday but that will have to be postponed because busy things. So I know today is technically today but I might do the birthday chapter tomorrow or another day. BUT IT WILL HAPPEN OKAY? THE STORY TIME MAY HAVE TO CHANGE A LITTLE THAN PRESENT TIME NOW BUT IT SHALL HAPPEN. Okay, bye :D)
