Claire's eyes started to tear up as I leaned back against Andrew "You know, I have just as many feelings as you do and it hurts just as much when somebody steps all over them!"

"God, you're so pathetic!" He said rolling his eyes. I pulled my knees up and Andrew moved a bit closer to me "Don't you ever...ever! Compare yourself to me! Okay? You got everything, and I got shit! Fuckin' Rapunzel, right? School would probably fucking shut down if you didn't show up!"

I bit bit my lip and i looked at the scene "Queenie isn't here!" I like those earrings Claire." Jesus here we go

"Shut up" Claire said. Her voice beginning to break

"Are those real diamonds, Claire?" Andy's hand tightened on my waist as we looked at the interaction.

"Shut up!"

"I bet they are...did you work for the money for those earrings-"

"Shut your mouth!"

"Or did your daddy buy those?"

"Shut up!" Claire's eyes began watering more as she looked at Bender who continued on taunting her

"I bet he bought those for you! I bet those are a Christmas gift! Right? You know what I got for Christmas this year? It was a banner fuckin' year at the old Bender family!" Everyone was looking at the two, trying to see where it would go "I got a carton of cigarettes." My eyes began to water a bit as i looked at him "The old man grabbed me and said "Hey! Smoke up Johnny!" Okay, so go home'n cry to your daddy, don't cry here, okay?"

That was it. Claire didn't retaliate, there was no snarky comment from Bender. Everything went quiet.

"My god are we gonna be like our parents?" Andy asked from behind me.

"No way" I said in a whispered voice more to myself than anyone

"Not me" Claire said as Bender looked at her "ever"

"It's unavoidable, it just happens." Allison said looked at the ground, her eyes watering too

"What happens?" Claire asked

"When you grow up, your heart dies" Allison said making me look at the ground

"Who cares" Bender said looking away

"I care" Allison said. Her voice breaking a bit as she did.

"Um, I was just thinking." Brian spoke up beside me making me turn to look at him "I mean, I know it's kind of a weird time, but I was just wondering, um, what is gonna happen to us on Monday? When we're all together again? I mean I consider you guys my friends, I'm not wrong, am I?"

I shook my head as I looked at him. He wasn't. Id consider them my friends too.

"No" Andrew said beside me

"So, so on Monday...what happens?" He asked. I rested my back against the railing as i looked at Andrew

"Are we still friends, you mean? If we're friends now, that is?" Claire asked him as she looked around

"Yeah"

"Do you want the truth?" This couldn't be good

"Yeah, I want the truth"

"I don't think so" I shook my head as I looked at her

"Well, do you mean all of us or just John?" Allison asked as Claire looked at me

"With all of you"

"Wow Claire" I said shaking my head

"That's a real nice attitude"
