“see what your fucking marrying?” Brody raised his voice slightly towards Blake.
“Brody don't” I tugged on his arm, I didn't want to see this fight happen.
“no Alex, does he know about this?” he asked pulling my sleeve up and showing Blake the nail marks “fuck Blake how can you love someone who's bipolar, it's a wonder she doesn't belt you up when you don't give her your card”
“fuck up Brody, you don't know anything” Blake shot back standing up.
Jock stepping in and trying to calm the brothers down.
I took off before the fight had even started, Jock told me to take the rest of the week off and come back Monday, and that was only if I could hold a full carton of beer for ten seconds with one hand, yeah because that's just so light to hold.
Just as I got to the car a hand pulled me back, Blake looking unharmed but pissed as hell as he stared me down, towering over me with his tall figure “you lied to me” he stated.
I didn't answer him, I went to turn around when his grip tightened and pushed me in the car with his body, it wasn't that dark so if anyone had driven past they would be able to see us well and truly fine.
“I need to go home” I couldn't make eye contact with him any more, I hated that he was angry with me.
“drive to your place then your coming over to mine, we need to talk”
“no”
“I'm not in the mood for an argument Alex, I will meet you out the front of your place” and with that he took off to his car which was parked down the road from where I was.
I drove slowly, not wanting to go to his place, I mean didn't he live with Jenny. When I parked in my spot I sent a quick text to Brooke, letting her know I would see her later on, she text back that she was having a dirty weekend away with her ex, apparently he wanted to make things work again and she needed to see if the sex was still up to scratch before she made any life changing decisions.
I made my way to his car, his black Audi with tinted windows, I sat in the front seat putting my belt back on, as he took off onto the main road.
Fifteen minutes and we had pulled up outside a house, a modern and relatively new looking one, the garage door opening and Blake drove in turning the car off as the door closed again, I was beginning to feel nervous, being here wasn't something I ever thought of, in my mind he lived with her, but this place didn't have a single women's thing about anywhere.
“drink?” he asked pulling his jacket off and hanging it over the bar stool in front of the kitchen, walking to the fridge and pulling out a cold beer, twisting and popping the cap off as he took a long gulp.
“no” I answered, I wasn't thirsty at all.
He nodded and reached in, pulling out a blue gel pack and handing it to me, I placed it over the soreness of my arm, the coolness instantly soothing me.
“sit” he ordered nodding to a large white sofa couch that was placed in front of a huge LCD screen tv.
I did as he said, sitting furthest away from him and running a hand through my hair.
“you know you could have told me” he spoke in a softer tone.
“like you would have believed me” I shrugged.
“Alex I was in your bed naked when she showed up, I would have believed you considering she was the one in your apartment” his voice was now somewhat harsher “tell me what she said to you, please” he reached across and took hold of my hand, pulling the sleeve up, his warm fingertips touching over the bruising gently.
