Louis‘ POV:
It was the next day and I hadn’t seen Harry since I found out that he cut himself, followed by him throwing me out of the house. I really hoped that he was at school at him; I was dying to talk to him.
I was walking down the street, my hands shoved into my pockets and I was lost in thoughts. How could I help Harry? Sure, I could tell his mum and make her send him to a therapist, but I was sure that Harry would hate me forever if I did that.
I sighed as I entered the school and walked over to my locker. I opened it and got the books out that I would need today. I stuffed them into my bag, zipped it up and shut my locker. I turned around and walked to Harry’s locker, hoping that I would meet him there.
Harry’s locker was located at the other side of the building so it took a few minutes to walk there, and as I got nearer I heard something crashing against the lockers, but it was probably someone. I swallowed and started to walk faster, already knowing what was happening.
As I walked around the corner my breath stopped for a second, even though I knew what I was going to see. Zayn, Josh and Nick were standing in front of Harry who was lying on the floor, holding his stomach. I felt anger boiling up inside of me and walked over to them.

Harry’s POV – a few minutes prior;
I was grabbing a few books from my locker as a hand grabbed my shoulder, forcing me to turn around. Before I knew it my back was crashing against the locker and pain shot through my back.
Zayn was standing in front of me, his henchman beside him. An evil smirk was plastered onto Zayn’s lips and he looked at me with this devilish spark in his eyes.
“Good morning, fag,” Zayn grinned. “Not a great idea to come to school this early.”
Zayn hadn’t even finished speaking as I felt a hand connecting to my stomach and all I felt was pain in that moment. I gasped, clutching my hands to my stomach and I sank to the ground. I heard Zayn laugh and I closed my eyes; waiting for the kicks that I normally got before they decided it was enough and would leave.
Instead of feeling the kicks I heard steps coming closer.
“Hey, leave him alone!” I heard Louis say in an angry tune. I opened my eyes a crack and tried to move, but every move was painful. I saw Louis standing in front of Zayn, and Louis had to look up since Zayn was taller than him.
“L-Louis,” I tried to speak. Zayn laughed and shoved his hands into his pockets.
“Do you think I’m afraid of you?” Zayn asked. I closed my eyes again, hoping that this as a dream. Louis was about to get hurt, and why? Because he was trying to save someone worthless like me.
“Maybe you should, you’re underestimating me,” Louis said, followed my three laughs. And it wasn’t really hard to guess who was laughing.
I heard Zayn taking a step towards Louis and I expected Louis to gasp in pain any second, but instead of this I heard how Zayn gasped. I re-opened my eyes and saw Zayn holding his nose, blood was running down his fingers.
“This isn’t over, Tomlinson,” Zayn sneered and walked away, Nick and Josh following him like they were glued to his ass.
Louis turned to me and kneeled down beside me, looking at me with a worried expression.
“Are you okay, Haz?” Louis then said, and my heart jumped at the nickname. My lips formed a weak smile and I nodded slowly.
“I’m okay now, thanks,” I replied and Louis nodded, now smiling back at me.
Louis got up and put his hand out for me. I took it and Louis helped me to get on my feet again. I gasped as I felt the familiar pain shooting through my body again. Louis’ hands wrapped around my body immediately, making sure that I wouldn’t fall.

Louis’ POV:
School was over now and I was walking home with Harry. The cold air was uncomfortable and caused me to shiver. It was March, so I hoped the weather would get nicer soon. The sky above us was grey and looked like it was about to rain – not really a surprise.
I hadn’t seen Harry all morning so I assumed that he skipped classes, but when he showed up at my locker after school it made me question his hideaway spot in school. I looked at him from the side, and I had to say that he looked stunning today. His curls were messy, but in a good way and his skinny jeans were-
“What are you looking at, Louis?” Harry said and pulled me out of my (dreamy) thoughts. I realized I had been staring at him and a blush crept upon my cheeks.
“I-I was just realizing that it’s going to rain soon, w-we should hurry,” I said and grabbed his arm, pulling him with me as he yelped. My eyes widened and I immediately let go of his arm as I remembered his cuts.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to-“ I said, but Harry cut me off.
“It’s okay, stop being so nervous, Lou.”
I smiled, liking the way the simple nickname sounded when Harry said it.
“Does your mum know about all this?” I asked. “I mean, the bullying part.”
Harry shook his head. “She wouldn’t care anyway,” Harry said and it broke my heart to hear him say this. It was really sad that someone genuinely believed that his family didn’t care about him.
Suddenly Harry stopped walking and I looked at him, totally confused but Harry started laughing.
“You know, I live here,” Harry said and pointed at the house behind him. I laughed too when I realized that I was so lost in thoughts that I didn’t even watch where we were going. I nodded and without knowing what I was doing I felt myself leaning in. I felt Harry’s lips on mine and for a moment I swore I felt Harry kissing me back. I pulled away and looked at Harry with widened eyes. Harry was staring back at me.
“I-I have to go. See you tomorrow,” Harry mumbled and turned around, walking into his house.
