"you'll be the love of my life when i was young."
time skip to 9/12/24
grace and joe get married today, it also happens to be the exact day they met 3 years ago.
they planned the wedding to be here in cincinnati and their honeymoon would be in italy during the bye week.
grace was wearing beautiful wedding dress, it had long lace sleeves with a short but beautiful train.
the wedding theme was traditional, black and white.
zach would be walking grace down the isle, mike forced himself to be the flower girl and ring bearer.
grace's maid of honor was katie, the best man was jamar. they each chose 5 more people to be in the wedding.
grace chose alice, chassidy who is mike's wife, sarah who is brandon's wife (not sarah as in matt's wife and ex best friend, don't worry.), gracie, evan's wife and hayden's girlfriend, brooke.
joe chose joe mixon, hayden, brandon, evan, and trey. the guest list included their families and other friends.
the wedding was starting now, grace was nervous. she would be walking down the isle to a piano version of love of my life by harry styles.
once the big doors opened, she saw everyone looking at her. joe was smiling at her, his eyes were full with tears.
zach continued to walk grace over to joe. "take good care of my star for me, joe." zach said as she handed grace off to him.
"you look beautiful." joe whispered to grace as he took his hands in hers.
they both didn't write vows, but instead wanted to say what was on the top of their heads.
"grace mckenna taylor." joe started. "i promise i will love as unconditionally as i have since we started dating, well since the day we met if i am being honest with you." he said as he smiled at the last part. "you have made my life so much better since you walked into it. i promise that anytime you want to steal my shirts, i won't get mad. out of all the people you've ever met, i'm glad you decided to stay here with me. through the years we have faced obstacles, some harder than others, that have helped us build the strong foundation of our relationship. i promise to never stop listening to country music with you and dancing in the kitchen together to it. i chose you in 2021, i choose you today, and i will continue choosing you forever. i love you."
grace and joe were both kind of crying at the moment.
"joseph lee burrow." grace started. "with you, i know i will never have to do anything on my own. i knew you were "the one" when i realized that you truly are a better person than me. i admire you and look up to you for all the good you bring to this great big world. you are so blessed with a rare heart. your thoughtfulness touches everyone's life you are a part of. your core is one of a kind and i am the richest girl to get to marry you. i vow to always be your protector, and confidante, responsible for making sure your every need is met, every want is reached, and every dream realized. i call you 'my joe' because you are my everything. you are my light, and you've shown me more love than i've ever known. thank you for always supporting and loving me, unconditionally, i know i haven't always made that easy. i love you."
mostly everyone was crying now by those very sentimental words, zach, joe's mom, even jamar was a little teary eyed.
"do you, grace mckenna taylor take joseph lee burrow to be your lawfully wedded husband through thick and thin, and in sickness and health?" the priest asked grace.
"i do." grace said looking at joe with a smile as he rubbed her hand with his thumb.
"do you. joseph lee burrow take grace mckenna taylor you be your lawfully wedded wife through thick and thin, and in sickness and health?" the priest asked joe.
"i do." joe replied smiling at grace.
"you may kiss the bride." the priest said.
joe wrapped his seams around grace's waist, dipped her, and kiss her. "i love you, mrs. burrow." joe said as grace stood back up.
"i love you too, joey." grace said.
"i can call you gracie b now." joe said with a smile.
"i guess you can." grace replied.
