Y/N's POV

It's the second week of freshman year. It's already been long and dreadful, and I still have 9 unfortunate months to go. Today went the same as other days. I didn't speak to a singular person except for Anthony, who was annoying per usual. We got an A+ on our project, because of my artistic visions of course. But of course, we were assigned yet another project that's due next Monday. This time around we had to create a DNA diagram. And of course, Anthony about demanded that I come to his house again on Friday to work on the project with him. It was obvious that he wanted me around all of the time because he considers me his only friend. But, it technically works out for me since I have a job to get done.
It was now the best of the day, lunch time, and I was absolutely starving. After I stood in the obnoxiously long line, I finally got my shitty frozen meal and went to sit down. I spotted Alex at the end of the cafeteria, sitting alone as usual. I made my way over to her like I do everyday. I sat by her and we greeted each other, and continued to sit in silence. Her and I never really spoke much after that. I always enjoyed her presence, she never said anything, she was one of the only people who didn't bother me.
I was having a fairly nice time until the elephant came into the room. Anthony was walking down the aisle between lunch tables, and multiple kids were pointing and laughing. He pretended not to notice, but you could tell that deep down they were bothering him. He eventually passed by Sam's table. Yasmine looked up at him as he did.
"Hey, Anthony!" She yelled. He stopped in his tracks, and turned back at her. "Have you been working out?" She asked, teasing him.
He sighed and rolled his eyes, and continued to walk. He started to make his way closer and closer to my table, and I prayed to God that he wouldn't notice me. But of course, I had no luck. Someone from the end of the table I was sitting at yelled "Look, it's Lapusso!" This made Anthony draw his attention to the kid and the laughing crowd of people around him. He then panned his eyes down the table, and spotted me. His face of sorrow turned bright suddenly. He had a bright smile on his face. He started to walk towards Alex and I. Dammit! I got so angry, that I took the apple off of my tray and threw it at the kid's head. I was fortunate enough that good aim ran in my family. The apple made a loud noise as it slapped against his brainless forehead. Everyone immediately stopped laughing, and shifted their eyes towards me with their jaws dropped. I didn't even realize who the kid was until I saw his face. It was Anthony's ex-best friend. The one who encouraged him to fuck with Kenny. The blonde one with curly hair, whatever the hell his name was.
"What was that for, bitch?"
I obviously couldn't say out loud why I actually threw an apple at him. So, I had to make up something believable.
"Didn't you hear? The joke is old now, Tinkerbell. So shut the hell up."
Everyone tried to hold it in, but they couldn't help but laugh. You could see his facial expression change, due to his ego being sore after me calling him Tinkerbell. He said no more to me, and told his friends to shut up because they were pointing and laughing at him.
I looked back at Anthony, who was still chuckling. His face was as red as a tomato. He made his way over to my right side and sat down right by me. I groaned under my breath. I can never get a break from him!
"Hey!" He said.
"Hey..." I sighed.
"You didn't have to do that,"
"I know... but his voice was starting to sound like nails on a chalkboard."
He giggled again, "You have a point. But now he may try to make your life hell after this."
I scoffed, "Wow! I sure am terrified of Tinkerbell coming after me." I said sarcastically.
He laughed even harder, "You're so funny." He said, looking into my eyes.
I broke the gaze after a few seconds, because I had started to get uncomfortable. Was he flirting with me?
"Ahem!" I heard from over my shoulder. I turned back to my left and saw Alex. "Well? Are you going to introduce me to your friend?"
"Oh sorry... Anthony this is Alex. Alex, this is Anthony."
"Hey, what's up?" Anthony said, they then leaned over me to shake each other's hands.
When Anthony leaned over me, he was close enough to where I could smell him. Today was different than usual, he usually smelt of axe body spray. But today, he actually smelt good.
"Are you wearing cologne?" I teased him.
He quickly sat up straight and froze like a deer in headlights. He turned pale and extremely nervous. looked nervous. "Uh.. um..."
"Hey guys!" We heard a random voice say. The three of us then looked up, and it was Kenny. Standing there with his lunch tray, smiling. "Do you mind if I sit here?"
"Not at all!" I said. It's perfect. Anthony cannot stand Kenny after the situation with Lia. It was fun to watch him agitated. I heard- Anthony loudly sigh. I elbowed him, telling him to be nice.
Kenny sat across from us, he first noticed Alex. "Hey, what's your name?" He asked her.
"Alex, and you?" She asked.
He held out his hand with a bright smile, "Kenny."
