We finally make it near the trailer park. Steve parks a little away where we are hidden.
"Okay I wanna run though it one more time." I say turning around to the group "Phase one."
"We meet Erica at the playground." Robin said "She'll signal Max and Lucas when we're ready."
"Phase two." I say
"Max baits Vecna. He'll go after her, which'll put him in his trance." Steve said
"Phase three"
"Me and Eddie draw the bats away." Dustin said
"Four."
"We head into Vecna's newly bat-free lair, and... flambé." Nancy said shaking one of the bottles.
"Nobody moves on to the next phase until we've all copied. Nobody deviates from the plan, no matter what. Got it?" I say
"Got it"
We get our stuff and head to Eddie's trailer. We quickly run inside, not wanting to be seen. I look at the gate as it once was when we left it. No mattresses on the other side
"Be careful." Dustin tells me as I'm about to fly though the gate and hopefully land perfectly
"Thanks, buddy." I say "Here goes nothing." I step up and lift off the ground. As I feel gravity switch, I quickly turn my body around and land on my feet.
I look back up at the others then walk to Eddie's room and get the mattress. I set it down and move the rope so it was in line
"All right. Let's go." I say and get out of the way. Steve sends his stuff in first and I move it so he can land safely.
He falls down and I reach my hand to help him to his feet. He quickly stands and we look into each others eyes for a moment.
More stuff comes though and we move it. Nancy comes down then Eddie, More stuff, Robin, More stuff, and Dustin
We walk out of the trailer and right before we were gonna walk off the Victor's house, I turn around and give my brother a hug, to which he returns.
"Listen. If things here start to go south, I mean, at all, you abort." I say to Dustin and Eddie
"Draw the attention of the bats. Keep 'em busy for a minute or two. We'll take care of Vecna." Steve said standing beside me. "Don't try to be cute or be a hero or something. Okay? You guys are just-"
"Decoys" Dustin and Steve both say "Don't worry. You can be the hero, Steve."
"Absolutely, I mean, look at us. We are not heroes." Eddie said
I give my brother one more squeeze and let go. We start to walk away from the two.
"Hey, y/n" Edie said to which I turn around "Make him pay." I nod to which Eddie returns and we walk down the road, side by side. In the woods.
We continue to walk through the woods. Nancy and Robin are ahead of Steve and I.
"Uh... I don't mean to freak anyone out, but I swear we've seen this tree before." Robin said as she stops at a tree and we all walk beside her
"That's impossible." Nancy said
"That would suck, right?" Robin said "If Vecna destroyed the world because... 'cause we got lost in the woods?"
"We're not lost, Robin" I say as she fake laughs and runs off and Nancy follows quickly with her "Robin, hey. Watch out for the vines! Hive mind. Remember?"
"Thank you!" She yells as her and Nancy run away to try and find a way out of this forest
"Uh, Don't worry about her. She's just stressed. You know, scared."
