Chapter 2: talking

Sanemi's POV:
"M you can talk to me y'know?" I told the black haired boy
"Yeah okay.." he looked away
"Why were you crying before?"
"Oh uh-.." A tear slightly formed in his eye
"It's my friends uh death anniversary today, but I'm feeling better!" He said trying to act happy again but I could see straight through it
"I'm going to get changed stay here" he just nodded as I got up and went to another room to get changed. After I came back he was still sitting on the end of my futon, he looked tired. I sat back down on my futon, he looked up he looked like he was going to cry so I hugged him. He flinched a bit at the sudden touch, though he relaxed after a second.
"You hungry?" I asked
"M not really"
"Too bad im going to make you food anyway"
he just nodded slightly smiling though I could tell it was fake. I got up and went to make soup for him. I came back after a while he was asleep, I felt bad waking him up but he has to eat.
"Oi Tomioka wake up" his eyes opened he blinked a few times before seeing the soup I was holding.
"Here" I passed him the soup
"thank you" i grabbed the bowl when he finished, taking it out to the kitchen. I came back sitting on my futon once more. Tomioka started smiling and talking about some stuff, i could see straight through it.
"It's late I shou-"
"No your not going anywhere Tomioka stay here just for tonight" he looked slightly shocked but agreed to stay here we just talked about nonsense for a while
"Where'd you get that wrist band from?" I asked Tomioka seeing the wrist band on his wrist
"Oh I just brought it somewhere"
"It's cool I like the waves and the leaf on it"
"You can keep it if you want" he said, is he really doing this? Ugh god dammit Tomioka!
"No Tomioka it's yours you can keep it"
"But you seem to like it"
"It's still yours Tomioka"
"Fine I guess"
"Also Tomioka?"
"Huh yeah?"
"What did you mean when you said 'I'm not like you guys' at the hashira meeting" Tomioka looked shocked
"U-uh uhm it doesn't really matter but I didn't mean it like I'm better then you" he said slightly tearing up he didn't? Then what did he mean it as? I won't push him if he doesn't want to tell me though. I only just realized he was nearly crying, I pulled him closer to me while I lay down.
"Shinazug-"
"Sleep." He nodded putting his head on my chest. I felt heat on my cheeks but I didn't really care he needs rest. Soon I fell asleep too.
