Rumbling

I regrouped with Jean and Connie, "Are you okay?" Jean asked me.

".... I'm fine." I tightly gripped the handle of my ODM gear, holding back the tears.

"Wait." Connie said and a large lighting strike hit down where Eren was, and the sky turned red. The walls started crumbling. "Move!" The three of us distanced ourselves from the walls landing on a rooftop a distance away. The fallen walls revealed the titans within, and Eren was no longer a regular looking titan.

"That's, the founding titan." I mumbled. "... he did it." I sighed, sitting down.

"Hear me, subjects of Ymir." I heard Eren in my head. "My name, is Eren Jeager. I am using the Founding Titan's power to address all Subjects of Ymir. I've undone the hardening of Paradis Islands' walls, and the titans within have begun their march. My goal is to protect the people of Paradis, the place I was born. However, the world wants to exterminate my people, not just on the island. They will not stop until we are all dead. I refuse to let them. The wall titans will trample over every inch of land beyond this island, until every life beyond our shores is wiped out."

"It's over. I never thought he'd slaughter everyone beyond the walls." Jean said as he tied up Falco. "Once they die off, so will all the hate. Everyone who threatened our existence will be flattened, leaving nothing but empty plains. What the world feared most is now happening. This is something they brought onto themselves. We couldn't have stopped it, right?" Jean asked us.

"This is.. going too far. Genocide on an unpredictable scale." Armin said. 

"Then, do we stop him? He stopped Zeke who had planned to euthanize us, he sacrificed Historia to preserve the Founding Titan. He's sacrificing humanity to protect us." Jean said.

"The only group that benefits from this genocide, is us." I added, watching the titans continue their march.

There was then a loud crash, and we all turned to see it was titans fighting soldiers. 

"We have to help them!" Jean said.

"What about the kid?" Mikasa asked.

"We can't leave him here. He inherited the Jaw titan, probably. We could save someone if we feed him to a titan. Like, Commander Pixis." Jean said.

"No, my mom. We feed him to my mom in Ragako. All right?" he asked us.

"According to Zeke, he's a warrior candidate and like their little brother, it will only cause more conflict if we kill him. There's no point in fighting once Marley has fallen, so-"

"You're saying my mom doesn't matter?" Connie asked Armin.

"Thats not-" Connie grabbed Armin by the collar, "Do you have any idea what it's been like seeing my mom like that every time?!" He asked Armin, "You're only here cause you ate Bertolt! So don't stop me from saving my mom!" Connie yelled.

"Connie! Move!" I grabbed Jean as Mikasa grabbed Armin to move away from the charging titan.

Connie grabbed Falco and ran, "Connie!" Armin as about to chase after him.

"We have to take care of this first." We all looked at the titans coming for us.

"There're no more walls for us to use." I mumbled as the one who charged us stood up.

The four of us split up and began killing the titans, gradually making our way to the fort in the middle of the city. "If you're alive, get to the top floor! We'll kill them all once they've gathered!" We all yelled as we circled the fortress, killing titans that got in our way.

"Bring all the thunder spears you got!" Jean yelled.

The four of us landed on the top floor, and equipped the thunder spears. "Together, everyone!" Jean yelled and we all jumped. "Fire!" Everyone launched their thunder spears at the titans gathering below. We regrouped to get new thunder spears. I looked down and saw the three were looking at the titan form of Commander Pixis. "Let's go." I said and they all nodded.

Once again, everyone jumped and circled around, launching thunder spears at the titans. I connected my hook to nearby titans and sliced their napes, this continued for a while but we eventually finished.

Everyone gathered inside the fortress, but I stayed on the top floor, looking at everything. I tightly clenched my hands into a fist. "Levi.. please... be okay.." I thought, bringing my legs up to my chest and resting my head against my knees. My vision blurred as tears gathered and fell from my eyes. I tightly gripped the Survey Corps wings on my jacket having nothing else to hold onto. I bit my lips tightly to not make any sounds, keeping it muffled so no one would come up, since a lot has happened today and everyone was going through something right now. I took shaky breaths as the wind blew across the city, carrying the smell of fire and ashes along with it.
