The picture of his avatar was edited from his human face, so it's not the most accurate. This picture is just a reference for what he would kind of look like as an avatar. His avatar's nose is like the Na'vi and not a human nose. His hair also doesn't look like that. 

What's a ger?

A ger is a male that has the reproductive systems of a woman, basically a male that has a womb and can give birth; an omega. (The singular form is 'ger' and the plural form is 'gen'. The pronouns used, for Ariel, are he/him but a lot of the title(s) given to gen are female. You will understand this better throughout the story.
