Austin and Kaylee had a love-hate relationship for years. It was a toxic cycle of attraction, repulsion, passion, and anger. They couldn't seem to let go of each other, no matter how hard they tried. Their lives were a never-ending rollercoaster ride of emotions, always on the edge, never quite sure where they stood. It was as if their souls were irrevocably entwined, and they were powerless to break free.

Their fights were legendary, with each one escalating into something more brutal than the last. They'd scream, curse, throw things, and sometimes even resort to physical violence. But somehow, in between those moments of utter chaos, there were fleeting moments of tenderness, of understanding, of love. It was as if their souls were constantly fighting for control, and it was only during those rare moments of peace that their true feelings could shine through.

Kaylee knew that Austin was her soulmate, even though the relationship was a mess. She'd dreamt of him, dreamt of their perfect life together, dreamt of how happy they could be. But in reality, their love was so toxic, it was suffocating them. They were trapped in a cycle that neither of them knew how to escape.

Despite all the pain and suffering they'd caused each other, there was still a part of her that longed for him. She wanted to believe that they could work things out, that they could find some sort of peace. But every time they tried, something would happen and they'd be right back where they started.

The fights became more frequent and intense as the years went by. The words they hurled at each other cut deeper than any knife could have. They left scars that never seemed to heal, wounds that were still fresh months or even years later. And through it all, they just kept coming back to each other, unable to resist the pull that drew them together again and again.

Kaylee knew that she had to end it, knew that she deserved better than this toxic cycle of pain and suffering. But every time she tried to move on, every time she tried to find someone else who could make her feel the way Austin did, she would inevitably end up back in his arms. It was as if their souls were bound together, as if fate itself was conspiring to keep them together against their will.

Austin, on the other hand, seemed to thrive on the drama and chaos that defined their relationship. He would apologize profusely after each fight, promising to change, promising that this time would be different. But deep down, Kaylee knew that he never meant it, that he was addicted to the rush of emotion that came with their arguments.

Their fights became more and more public, drawing attention from friends and family members alike. They would fight in restaurants, in bars, even in the middle of the street. It was as if they were trying to prove something to everyone around them, as if their relationship was some sort of twisted spectacle that they couldn't help but put on display.

Kaylee felt herself growing more and more exhausted, both emotionally and physically. She knew that she couldn't continue like this, that she deserved better than to be treated like a punching bag. But every time she tried to leave, every time she tried to move on with her life, she'd find herself right back where she started, trapped in the same vicious cycle.

Austin, on the other hand, seemed to revel in the chaos and drama. He would apologize profusely, promising to change, promising that this time would be different. But deep down, Kaylee knew that he didn't mean it. He was addicted to the rush of emotion that came with their fights, the high they got from hurting each other.

Their relationship became the talk of the town. Everyone knew about their epic fights, their passionate make-ups. They were like a train wreck that people couldn't help but watch, no matter how much it hurt to see. And through it all, Kaylee found herself wondering if anyone really understood just how much pain she was in.

She tried to reach out to her friends, to her family, but they were all exhausted by it all. They'd had enough of watching her suffer, of watching her waste h . er life on a man who didn't deserve her. They wanted her to be happy, but they didn't know how to make it happen
and she find had the courage to leave to work on herself

3 years later

As the sun slowly crept up from the horizon, casting a warm, golden light across the vast expanse of the Target parking lot, Kaylee's eyes instinctively gravitated towards the familiar shape of the red and white shopping cart in the distance. Her heart skipped a beat as she realized it was him, standing there with his back turned to her. She could feel the butterflies in her stomach take flight, her breath hitching in her throat. With a steadying breath, she slowly approached him, careful not to make any sudden moves that might alert him to her presence.

When she was close enough, she cleared her throat, causing him to turn around, revealing his familiar face. "Austin?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper. He looked at her, eyes wide with surprise and perhaps a hint of apprehension. "Kaylee?" he replied, sounding just as hesitant. For a moment, neither of them said anything, just standing there, lost in the memories of the past and the possibilities of the future.

The sun had now fully risen, bathing them in its warm light as they stood there, still frozen in place. Kaylee noticed the slight breeze that brushed against her cheek, carrying with it the scent of his aftershave. It was a familiar scent, one that she had missed so much. She could feel her heart beating faster, her chest tightening with emotion. She forced herself to take a step forward, closing the gap between them. "I've missed you," she confessed, her voice barely above a whisper.

Austin's eyes darted back and forth between hers, a myriad of emotions playing across his features. "I've missed you too," he finally managed to say. "I've been thinking about us, about what happened..." He trailed off, searching for the right words. "I've been hoping that maybe... maybe we could try again."

Kaylee's heart soared at his words. She could feel the warmth spreading through her body, making her more alive than she had felt in months. "I've been hoping the same thing," she admitted, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "I've been thinking about us, about how things were between us before..." She paused, taking a deep breath before continuing. "I've been wondering if we could find our way back to that place."

Austin returned her smile, his eyes meeting hers in a way that made her feel like they were the only two people in the world. "I think we can," he said softly. "I think we have a lot of catching up to do, and a lot of work to do to make things right between us." He paused for a moment, his expression turning serious. "But I'm willing to try, Kaylee. I'm willing to put in the effort to make things work this time."
