"Audrey and Aleck! Audrey and Aleck!" Zooey tease repeatedly as we jog the track during PE.
"Shh don't say that so loud! He might hear and I don't want him to think I like him. And stop thinking we look cute together! We don't!" I yell frustrated.
"You have to admit: Audrey and Aleck sounds cute," she says.
I do admit it does sound cute, but I have to stick to what I think. My stubborn thoughts.
"No it doesn't. It sounds horrible. Probably worse than nails on a chalkboard. Or styrofoam against styrofoam," I voice.
"Okay..?" she says.
I shrug off the thought and keep jogging.
~Aleck's POV~
"Walk!" the PE teacher directs.
I run a hand through my blonde hair and stare at Alyssa from behind.
"You so like her," Mason, my best friend says teasingly.
"N- no I don't!" I protest.
Ah shit it's obvious.
"Yes you do!" he shouts.
"Okay I do," I admit.
"AH! I should get you two together!" he cheers.
"Okay!" I exclaim.
We finish our run in PE and walk back to the gymnasium to play badminton.
As I walk up the stairs with Mason I notice Zooey and Audrey walking up the stairs in front of us. I don't even know why I used to hang out with Audrey. She's weird and ugly. I'm too good for her. Although Zooey is a pretty good friend of mine. I just hate how she always says that Audrey and I look good together because we don't. She's not as popular as me and probably won't ever be.
