Basically, there are some differences from the original story, and some things that need to be pointed out, including;
- Sophie loves dance and is coordinated when dancing
- Sophie went to a school for the arts, including dance, music and the painting and drawing sort of art
- She doesn't remember anything from before she was 7 which in this story was when she manifested
- Her mother is NOT Oralie and she isn't angry at her
- She broke up with Fitz because he was cruel and tried to force her into having sex
- Keefe didn't run away
- It isn't set between or during any of the books but is sort of after Unlocked and Stellarlune didn't really happen but sort of did at the same time
- Alvar is alive and didn't stay at Candleshade
- Lady Gisela is still with the Neverseen
- Elysian doesn't exist
- The Black Swan doesn't know who Rayni (Glimmer) is
- Sophie became Sophie Foster-Ruewen when she got adopted by Grady and Edaline
- Lady Gisela divorced Lord Cassius just under 2 years before this story is set
- Set 3 years into the future so Sophie is 18
- Fintan is not locked away
- Umber is alive
- Vespera is alive
- Sokeefe did not happen
