A strange new feeling

The answer

It was a normal day for the straw hat crew after their recent escape from egghead island the straw hat pirates and their two new allies a member of the supernova jewellery Bonney and the former mad scientist vegapunk were sailing on the rare but beautiful calm sea of the new world heading to who knows where.

On this relaxing day, one person seemed rather confused and annoyed that man was the recently crowned yonko Monkey d Luffy. Luffy was currently sitting on the head of the thousand sunny grunting quietly trying not to worry or annoy any of his crew on such a peaceful day. Sadly for the rubber captain however his helmsman Jinbe couldn't help but notice his captain's predicament and decided to approach him.

"What's the issue Luffy" Jinbe decided that being blunt with Luffy would allow him to be able to get to his captain's issue quicker. "Oh hey, Jinbe I'm just trying to figure out what this mystery feeling is that I'm feeling," Luffy said with a low sigh. This immediately caught Jinbe's attention as from what he heard from Chopper Luffy never got sick or unwell. Jinbe decided that if he acted calmly he could help his captain figure out what he is feeling as well as finding out if he needed Chopper's help.

"What's this strange feeling feel like Luffy" Luffy let out a small sigh before explaining everything to Jinbe. "Well sometimes my heart feels like it's beating out of my chest but it's different whenever I go gear 5 it makes me feel happy but also really nervous but it's always around one person and I can't understand it" Luffy explained with full seriousness. Jinbe thinking he had an answer just needed one more answer before he could tell his captain exactly what this new feeling was. "Luffy could you tell me who this specific person is that makes you feel like that when you're around them"
Luffy immediately thinking Jinbe had the answer said quietly but excitedly "Bonney it's always around her do you think you can tell me why I feel like this Jinbe"

Jinbe was immediately taken aback by this information but remained calm and serious and told Luffy what he believed was the answer to his captain's mystery feeling. "What your feeling Luffy is a different kind of love not like the love you have for meat or your friends but the type of love that you feel for a person you would want to marry or spend the rest of your life with understand"
Luffy even tho being an idiot completely understood what Jinbe was saying but couldn't help but ask a new question that made Jinbe feel sad for his confused captain. "I understand now Jinbe thanks but how do I know if they feel the same as me what can I do if Bonney doesn't feel the same as me"

Jinbe couldn't give Luffy the answer to that question but had an idea of who might.
"I don't know the answer to that Luffy but if you come to the kitchen when everyone is asleep since it's my night on watch I'll bring someone who might so can you wait till then for me and act as you normally would so you don't worry anyone" Luffy could tell that Jinbe was confident in this person so Luffy quietly agreed with a small nod and said before leaving to go fishing with Usopp "thanks Jinbe" and gave Jinbe his iconic smile before running off to Usopp.
