I got ready for school this is the fit

Rodrick showed up at the door

"By ma cmon Madison hurry up" I say
Me Rodrick Madison and Greg usually ride together to school
"Hey Rodrick" I say as I opened the door
"Hey YN you look beautiful" he said
"Gross can we go now" Madison said pushing me aside to go out the door. Me and Rodrick just laughed and got in the van.
There were no seats in the back so Madison and Greg just had to deal with it.

"What are we gunna do abt the talent show" I ask
" I dont know maybe y'all could get another drummer"
" I am not doing the talent show without you"
" I mean I could ask bill" Rodrick suggests
" no he can't play drums" I say
"We'll figure it out" I add
We stop by the middle school to drop off Madison and Greg

"Bye" Madison and Greg say in a unison

"They'd be so cute together" I say
" so we're going for brothers for sisters" Rodrick says
"Madison has a crush on Greg and Greg has a crush on Madison so why not" I say
We drive off to school
We got there and went to our locker
Rodrick gave me kiss b4 we went to class.

2 DAYS LATER
we've still all been practicing together make sure we r ready for the talent show tomorrow

We got done with practice and everyone went home Rodrick seemed really sad I went to his room it looked like he had been crying

"Rodrick?"
He jumped and wiped his face and turned to me
"Oh uh yeah yn" he said gathering himself
"Is everything ok" I ask
"Yeah im fine don't worry abt me" he said
I walked and sat by him on his bed
I didn't say anything I just put my hand and intertwined them between his
"I'm sorry it's just that the talent show could be our big break and I won't be there for it"
"I know how much u love drumming and I understand it's ok" I say
We are now in a big hug it's really comforting honestly. I give him a kiss on the cheek.
"I'm sorry" he said he said releasing from the hug
"For what" I ask
" I don't know" he says
We laugh
"Hey yn" rodrick says
"Yeah"
"Thank you"
"Of course"

We laugh and talk for like 2 hours it's getting late
"Imma head home" I say
"Ok I'll walk with you"
We go outside b4 I walk in I give Rodrick a kiss

"Love u 2 I'll see u tomorrow" he replies

THE NEXT DAY
SO IT TALENT SHOW DAY AHSSJSJSBSN
I'm nervous especially since Rodrick can't play I mean I understand but also like whyyyy. The talent show starts in an hour.
I get ready and wear this

I call Rodrick to see if he's ready bc he told me his parents said they had to go bc it's for the community or sometime idk
He did he was and that he's abt to leave.
"Madison cmon we're leaving" I say
I get in my car with Madison and we leave.
We arrive and I see Rodrick and next to him Greg is on the other side of him Madison sits on the other side of
"Hey Susan hey Frank" I say to the Heffley parents
"Hey yn so good to see you" Susan says
"Hey yn how you doing" frank adds
"Good" I say with a smile
I go on in like 10 minutes I see bill head poke out so I go up there
"You ready yn" bill asks me
"We can't do this without Rodrick" I say
"It's rock n roll man" he says I roll my eyes
"He's the backbone on this band" I add
"Whatever we go on after this magic act" bill says
I turn around to see Rodrick standing there
"What's up Rodrick sorry you can't play man" bill says
"You can't do this bro" Rodrick says looking like he's abt to cry
"Sorry dude like a just told yn it's rock n roll" he replies I roll my eyes
"I'll be back in a minute"I say
I take Roderick's hand and we go out into the lobby
"Hey it's gonna be ok somehow in someway I'm gonna get u to play" I say trying to comfort him
Rodrick just hugs me.
"I don't know how but even if u don't I'll be fine don't worry abt it" he says trying not to break his mom, Susan, walks in and tells Rodrick he can play. The way his eyes lit up when she said that was the best feeling I've ever gotten . Over at Greg and he's talking to Madison and Greg nods to Rodrick .
We were going on in 2 minutes and I started getting really nervous I think Rodrick noticed and he comes over to me.
"Your gunna do fine just pretend like your in your room okaying that one day I was there" Rodrick says and kisses me.
"Thank you" I say
"Yo love birds we go on in one minute" Ben says
We laugh and get into positions
The curtains open and we start playing

I look over to see Susan dancing and everyone was loving it I just laughed and started my solo .
