"Today on the coast you can see quite a large number of people. Well, you can't be surprised, after all, we have holidays. However, this is not the only reason for the mass gathering of people."

The woman's voice on the television drowned out the silence of the apartment. Even muting the TV will not make people who are on the beach that day go home from there.

"Today is the exact anniversary of the tragic event in the ocean, during which more than 200 people lost their lives. The 15th anniversary of such an event is remembered in the same way as the first anniversary. It is heartbreaking for anyone whose family member has not returned from a cruise. Already 15 years ago there was this terrible event that will remain in the minds of everyone forever. People gathered on the beach light candles and incense, and sprinkle flower petals into the water. It shows how much respect they have for the dead. Many are concerned about this issue because not everyone is comfortable with the explanation of the ship crashing after hitting something. Nobody wants to spread panic. However, for 15 years, we have been asking ourselves, "Did anyone survive?". After all, the ship had lifeboats and pontoons, complete with engines. Even if the ship's sunken hull was not found, a life jacket from a ship was found off the beach. Specialists of all these years say nothing more. We've been thinking the same thing for 15 years. You may not believe it, but everything indicates that no one survived. May all rest in peace

You grabbed the TV remote and turned off the screen. It's the same every year. Every year they learn nothing, and they keep remembering the same thing. Keep reminding you of that moment. A memory you're trying to isolate. A memory that is still very hazy. You don't remember the details. But you remember one thing for sure:

"I survived..." you said staring at the black screen where the woman's face was before.

In the middle of the night, people who stood on the beach watched the black water.

They waited for the return of the boats that had set out in search of something unknown to men.

Powerful floodlights shone, illuminating the sand and water. Making the light reflect off the cold water, and you can see shining fragments like stars.

People on duty. Not the police. Not the fire department. Nor anything else. Dressed in black coats.

Some rested in cars. Some spent time sitting nearby and talking. And some, the loneliest, watched the water.

There hasn't been any change on the horizon for hours. The sun was about to rise soon. In about two hours.

They didn't sleep. they watched.

It pays to wait. It's their job. They were following orders. They were there because they were told to. Calm night. They didn't have much to do.

Until one moment when they noticed movement in the distance.

The headlights were suddenly directed in one place.

People gathered on the shore, and watched as something slowly approached them.

No big moves. It was like a piece of plastic was floating towards them.

They did not react promptly. This is not what their group was looking for. Too small for a monster. Too still.

When it came so close, they could finally see what it was.

Lying in a life jacket, you fell asleep. You were unconscious. Kapok tied very tightly around your body.
