Stopping at his tracks, before him was the entrance of Dongbing cave. Strong, cold and misty winds swirled around the entrance of the cave, "protecting" it, so strong that you could hear the sound of its powerful whirls. It was a breezy and quiet midnight, the night sky dotted with an infinite amount of stars, each standing out in its own way. This must be Dongbing cave, Leize thought to himself, turning into his human form. It's a good thing that wolves dwell pretty well in cold temperatures, human or wolf form. With that, he entered the cave bravely, shielding himself as he went through the strong winds.
Upon stepping into the chilly cave, the grey-haired male was met with the freezing temperatures of the cave. He got to admit, it was pretty cold for a wolf like him. However, he brushed it off and explored the cave cautiously.
Not long after entering the cave, a group of Cryo Slimes of both big and small emerged from the ground and ambushed the wolf, surrounding him. Pulling out his electric sword, Leize swiftly broke the ice shields of the bigger slimes, dodging the icicles shot at him by the huge Cryo Slimes and the smaller ones charging straight onto him. Soon enough, all the slimes were defeated, their bodies melting and returning back to the snow.
On the way, the grey-haired male had to defeat Cryo Cicins that appeared randomly. That was when he realised that something was off. What's going on? The wolf questioned himself, defeating the last of the Cryo Cicin that blocked his way. My power seems to be weakening the longer I stay in this cave, looks like I have to speed up the process of obtaining the purple Shenlan Flower.

Proceeding further into the cave at a faster pace, Leize widened his eyes in anticipation, sensing something bad was about to happen. As he predicted, the ground began to shake slightly, looking up to see a huge icicle falling down right above him. The grey-haired male turned into his wolf form, purple electricity tailing him as he ran at full tilt, dodging the many icicles crashing down on him.
The wolf then turned into his human form, noticing that the crashing of the icicles had stopped. The sight before him was two pathways, one of them leading him to the flower, while the other one into the unknown.
Leize examined both of the pathways carefully. I could pick up the presence of both types of Shenlan Flower at the left pathway, the wolf thought, using his senses as he headed to the left pathway.
Hand trailing along the rough walls of the cave, the grey-haired male followed the pathway he entered warily. After walking along the path for a while, both types of the Shenlan Flower were still not in sight. Something felt strange to the wolf, as if he was walking in circles. Leize looked down to see that there were no footprints left in the snow. Strange... if I were to be trapped in a loop formation, why aren't there any footprints left behind by me? The wolf furrowed his eyebrows in frustration, thinking pensively. Just then, an idea dawned on him. With a purple glow forming at the tip of his index finger as it hovered over a wall of the cave, he drew the word "狼" (which means "Wolf") on the wall and continued walking.
As expected, the word that the grey-haired male wrote appeared once again after walking for a while. He was indeed walking in circles. Leize then made some hand gestures, a ball of purple electricity hovered at his fingertips, from it shot out a lightning bolt that beamed to a direction. Every formation has its weak part, by sabotaging it, the formation should fall apart, the wolf thought, approaching the direction where the lightning bolt went. He pulled out his sword, stabbing it into the rock-hard wall of the cave. The cave began to shake, a chunk of it came sliding down abruptly, revealing a pathway the wolf could venture on.
The cave's cold embrace sinking deeper into Leize as he went on the vast pathway, he had unfortunately reached a dead end not long after. The wolf tried sniffing out the flowers' presence but to no avail. Had he gone to the wrong pathway? He turned his head back to the entrance of the pathway to see that it was nowhere to be found, instead, it was blocked. Leize panicked, knowing that the walls of the cave were indestructible. Is he going to be trapped here and freeze to death? The cave began to tremble again, more violently this time. To the grey-haired male's horror, a Frostarm Lawachurl emerged from the snow, letting out an ear splitting roar. The beast slammed his arms forcefully on the ground, icicles shooting up from the snow to get Leize.
Seeing this, the grey-haired male dodged the attack by turning into his wolf form and leaping in the air. Electricity forming and swirling around his tail, the wolf did a flip, sending an attack that caused the Lawachurl to stumble a little before landing back onto the snowy ground.
Furious, the Lawachurl charged at Leize quickly, making the latter barely able to dodge its attack. Its back now facing the grey wolf, he decided to take the opportunity to pounce at the beast and scar it, his claws digging deep into the Lawachurl's flesh. The beast turned around expeditiously, enough to send the wolf flying off its back. As Leize was impacted against the wall of the cave, the Lawachurl grabbed him and slammed him against the ground, causing the wolf to turn into his human form.
The monster approached Leize, who was unable to get up, about to finish him. In his defence, the grey-haired male pulled out his sword and slashed the Lawachurl, causing the beast to get distracted. Leize used his weakening power to teleport behind the Lawachurl, getting back on his feet after much struggle, panting from exhaustion.
Purple aura emitting from the grey-haired male, he charged at the Lawachurl at lightning speed, slashing through the monster on his way up to it. As Leize reached his way above the monster, he summoned his power at the tip of his sword, stabbing the beast with all his might. The Lawachurl exploded into snow, causing the grey-haired male to fall back and roll on the ground with a grunt. Just then, Leize widened his eyes, darting them around the cave in slight panic, as if something had happened. He then heard the sound of the cave walls rumbling, creating an opening. There were both the purple and blue Shenlan flowers in clusters.
The wolf got up weakly, stumbling in the process. He was covered in blood and scars, snow sprinkled on his eyebrows and lashes, lips pale as ever. The coldness was too much to bear, as if icicles were piercing deep into his skin. Leize couldn't help but shiver as he slowly staggered towards the Shenlan flowers, eyes half lidded.

He fell to his knees, in front of the clusters of Shenlan Flowers. His trembling hand reached out for the flowers, choosing which flower to pick. Leize furrowed his eyebrows as he twitched his nose. With the last bit of his energy, he grabbed the Shenlan flower before collapsing onto the ground with the flower in hand. Snow slowly rose around the grey-haired male that began to swirl around, creating a dome that surrounded him. The snow began to fall back and became one to the snowy ground again, devouring Leize with it.
Outside Dongbing cave's entrance was the wolf, lying motionless on the ground as the dawn began to rise to the horizon.
