We a drive fi bout 5minutes now and him just have him music buck inna mi ears, him not even tell mi Weh we ago.
"Oye" mi seh and tap him pon him shoulder cause mi doubt him even hear mi
"Weh we a go?" mi ask him and him start turn down the music
"Somewhere special, nuh worry uh self my ute" him ansa
We drive fi couple more minutes then mi realize seh a flanker we deh inna
"Mi fraid a them place yah enuh" mi whisper

I've only been to flanker like two times because mi have family out here that I came to visit but other than that mi nuh really come here, especially these parts
"Nuh worry uh self b yuh know yuh have yuh safety from yuh rolling with the Don" Kevin start
"Mi know yah go run leff mi if nuhn fi go down" mi seh and we buss out a laugh
"Nuh seh them thing deh bredda" him seh in a serious tone
We take about 10 minutes until me see him pull inna wah lane and park. Him exit the car and walk to my side and open my door.
"Thank you" mi seh and step out a the car
Him lead me towards wah small restaurant, it was well painted in pink and yellow with a sign saying "CRAFT CAFE." Across from the restaurant there were a couple men sitting around and playing music.
"Heyy stranger" a beautiful slim lady walked up to us and said
I knew who it was right away
"Hey miss deandra"
We talk couple times but mi nuh really know her like that, I know that she's a chill lady tho and I like her vibe
"Wahm mommy" Kevin say and hug her
"Nuh wahm mommy mi" she say "look how long mi nuh see uh" she continued
"Mommy yuh know seh mi busy wid work and ting" him say
"Yuh always have some excuse fi nuh come look fih me, but yuh good tho?"
"Yeah man mi govan"
"Ight follow mi" she seh as she leads us into the restaurant and gave us a table
We sat down and she walked away saying "let me know when you're ready to order"
The table was neatly set up with a knife a fork and a spoon on both sides and two menus placed in the center with napkins beside them and flowers on the table

I looked around admiring the place before I took a look at the menu, there was ackee and saltfish, curried goat, fried chicken, brown stew fish and the list goes on
"Wah yuh want fih eat" mi hear Kevin seh interrupting me
"Mi ago try the fish with rice and pease" I said raising my head frm the menu
"Alright" him seh and raise him hand signaling that we're ready to order
We placed our orders and inna bout 5 minutes our food came, I ordered orange juice with my food and he had curried goat and orange juice too
"So wah yuh plan fih do fih uh birthday?"
Mi not even did realize seh it deh right roun the corner, so nice of him to remember
"I don't even know to be honest" I said stuffing my face with food
"mi prolly just stay home or sumn" mi seh again and him buss out a laugh
Mi seh sumn funny?
"B uh cyaa stay home fih yuh birthday, yuh just always boring so yute" him seh "mi ago take yuh out" him seh again
"Mi nuh wah go-
"Mi neva ask yuh that" him cut mi off
Who does he think he is?
After we ate we left, we didn't get to tell his mother that e were leaving because she was busy in The kitchen so he just left the money on the table
The food was well prepared and tasted really good, I hope to visit here again some time
