Taehyung continued to gently rub his hand across Jungkook's back and waist.
"Love, why are you crying?" Taehyung asked softly, his voice filled with concern.
Jin, sensing the moment, interjected, "Ummm, Taehyung, Jungkook, look at the view! It's amazing. Why don't you two go and spend some time together?"
"Eomma," Taehyung began hesitantly.
"Go on, baby. We're here," Jin reassured him.
"Yes, Taehyung, we'll take care of the little prince," Hoseok added.
"Do you want to go?" Taehyung asked Jungkook very softly, his eyes tender.
"Yes, it's so beautiful," Jungkook whispered, his gaze fixed on the scenery.
Taehyung smiled, gently picked Jungkook up in a bridal carry, and carried him away. They arrived at the place Jin had described and found it truly enchanting. Flowers drifted from the trees in the gentle breeze, creating the illusion of a rain of petals. The green grass looked incredibly fresh, and a subtle fragrance of honey and sandalwood wafted through the air, enhancing the beauty of the setting.
"The place is so beautiful," Taehyung murmured, his eyes sweeping over the scene.
"Yeah, so much. I really love coming here," Jungkook replied softly.
"I know, that's why you always want to visit this park," Taehyung said, a knowing smile on his face.
"Yup," Jungkook replied, his bunny smile appearing.
Taehyung gently placed Jungkook on the grass and wrapped his arms around him in a back hug. "Look there," he murmured, pointing towards a couple playfully chasing each other. They looked like college students. The scene somehow brought back memories of their own early days, and Taehyung nudged Jungkook to look. Jungkook watched them, a soft smile gracing his lips as he too recalled some of their old memories.
"We are really growing up," Jungkook said quietly.
"Yeah, but our love will never fade away, nor will it diminish even a little," Taehyung reassured him.
"How can it be less when with each and every passing second, it only increases?" Jungkook replied, his smile widening.
"Baby, do you want to say something?" Taehyung asked gently.
"Not really, but I want to ask something," Jungkook replied.
Taehyung broke the hug and turned Jungkook around, gently caressing his cheek. "Baby, just ask," he encouraged.
"Daddy, look, Jimin-hyung is pregnant, and Hoseok-noona is also planning for their second baby, so why don't we—" Jungkook was cut off as Taehyung placed a finger gently on his lips.
"This is not the place to discuss this matter," Taehyung whispered.
"I know, but since there's no one around, I thought I'd ask you. Daddy, what do you say?" Jungkook asked, his eyes hopeful.
"No, I can't give you that. I can't," Taehyung said firmly, though his voice was soft.
"Aaah, why?" Jungkook asked, confusion evident in his voice.
"Baby, you don't know how much pain I endured when you were screaming in agony, continuously asking me to rid you of that pain. The way you were lying on the bed, those tear tracks on your pale cheeks… I hated it the most. It could have been the best day of our lives, but it turned out to be one of the worst. The amount of pain you endured, I can't even imagine. I can't put you through that same pain again. Ask me for anything, even my life, but don't ask for anything that will cause you even a little pain. You are my heart, so just think how much I suffer whenever I see you in pain," Taehyung explained, his voice thick with emotion.
