The Cute Janitor

Setting: Chandler is Jimmy's janitor and Chris thinks he's cute, after just silently waving at Chandler, Chris finally decides he wants to talk to the shy boy.

Chris's POV

"Do you think he'll talk to me jimmy?" I ask in a worried tone "I don't just wanna walk up to him and he's nervous or uncomfortable with me..." I say putting my phone and keys in my hood pocket "I'm sure you'll be fine, He is super shy, but I'm sure he'll talk to you." Jimmy says as he's looking at his phone "Okay, I'll call you later, I'm going in" I say waving at him 'bye' 

Chandler has headphones in so I tap him on the shoulder, He jumps slightly turning around and pulling out his headphone "Sorry didn't mean to scare you" I say laughing slightly "Yeah no, It's...Okay.." He says quietly, almost like a whisper as he pauses his music not making eye contact with me 'Damn He really is shy' I thought "You probably already know my name, but I didn't get to properly introduce myself so um," I say rubbing the back of my neck "Hi I'm Chris" I say holding out my hand for a handshake 'What the hell, Hi I'm Chris, and a handshake, What am I thinking damn What an idiot' I thought mentally slapping myself as my cheeks heat up "O-oh um.." Chandler says nervously "Hi Chris, I'm uh...I'm Chandler..." He says shyly shaking my hand. 

"Sorry I don't know why I went for a handshake, that was awkward wasn't it?" I ask, laughing at myself  "Just a little bit" He says with a small laugh at the end "Your smile is nice" I say out loud, His cheeks flush a light tint of red "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to say that out loud, That made things awkward again didn't it?" I ask 'Again with awkwardness, really Chris?!' I thought "No i-it's fine really, um, I think your smile is nice... too," He says 'This is the most I've heard him talk before' I thought "Hey, Um chandler, I know this is pretty sudden especially since this is the first time we've really talk, but um, I was wondering if, well maybe, um..." I stutter out 'this is harder than I thought.' "Do you maybe wanna get coffee... maybe...?" He blurts out cutting my train of thought, I look at him, he looks nervous

"Yeah...I would" I say blushing slightly, his nervousness slowly fades away "Maybe this Saturday, at blah blah blah coffee shop?" I ask "Yeah that's perfect," He says with a smile, I pull out my phone and get his number "I'll text you, yeah?" I ask "I'd like that," He says, this time not in a whisper tone, his regular voice, I give him a smile and a wave as we say our goodbyes.

I get in my car, I open chandlers contact and text
