The door to the cytogenetic tube swung open. Revealing a sleeping woman in a white nightgown. Multiple scientists where around the tube taking vitals and marking down things on there clipboards. Suddenly her eyes opened up wide, she looked around confused where she is.

"Well welcome to the future." Said the man above her.

"W-what?" She asked as they helped her out of the tube.

She was lead to the examination table where other vitals were taken and had her blood taken.

"Must be interesting to have wake up in the world of the today." One of the men asked as he sat across from her.

"Do you know what's even going on?" She asked while tilting her head.

The man quickly wrote something down and looked back up at her.

"Your in a Stark Industries lab after they bought out the Flemm laboratory's, Everybody thought you died untill we found you frozen." He replied.

She chuckled as she shook her head, out of disbelief. She was always told that she was the key to saving the world but by the rest of society she was forgotten. One of her worse fears came true and she tried to hide it but it sort of showed.

"Now can you tell me your name?"

"I'm Johanna Monroe. It should be on that paper on there." Johanna joked.

The man shook his head as he continued to write things down, he looked up again.

"Let me take you to where your staying, your lucky that Mr. Stark is nice enough to put you in a nice apartment." He said.

Johanna was given a changed of clothes and lead to the outside to a car. Unlike how Steve was when he was unfroze, Johanna never had experienced the outside world at all always kept in the Flemm labs building. Her only friend being a old teddy bear from the 30s. She looked outside watching the city go by confused by the sights she has seen.

The car stopped by the apartment building and was lead to her room by a assistant.

"It's all so strange..." Johanna said under her breath as she held the keys and unlocked the door finding a very lavish apartment.

She walked around for a bit and admired it all. Seeing the big comfy nook bed with a way to close it off from the world. Excited to have her own little hidey hole she was able to get inside a door bell rang and she ran to check the door. On the other side was the famous billionaire, playboy philanthropist, Tony stark the man who Johanna already knows just bought the Flemm labs buildings.

"Hello there, Sort of odd to see you in person." Tony said as he walked in.

Johanna looked at him a bit confused as she turned around to look at him. She looked puzzled as she got closer to him.

"Hey I don't bite, I understand that you don't know who I am really." Tony said holding out his hand for her to shake.

Johanna extended her own hand and shaked it. She gave him a nervous smile as she tried to read him.

"Do you remember what happened? You know what lead up to the freezing on you?" He said as he sat down on her couch.

Johanna sat down across from Tony as she smoothed over her dress as she thought. Did she really know what happened? I mean she had a fuzzy idea of her own childhood, teenagehood and apart of her adulthood. I guess being in cases in ice was causing her memory to slow down much more than it should be. She only remembered one thing.

"He froze me...so that in times of where the world needs me the most. I guess now is the time right?" Johanna asked.

Tony paused for a moment as he thought about it for a moment.

"Well I'm not so sure about that..." Tony replied. "Do you want to know where Dr. Flemm went?" He asked.

"Yes. After all he was like a father to me and I don't know what I'd do if something happened to him." She asked.

Tony paused as his breath hitched up into his lungs. Sometimes saying the bad news up right is better than just saying it slowly.

"He went missing shortly after you were frozen. He had a public falling out and then went to Russia. No one has found him dead or alive yet." He said.

Paused in sadness Johanna looked down at her shoes trying to figure out what to say or do next. It wasn't like her world had shattered it was more like it had stopped suddenly. Felt like she had been lied to for all her life.

"Are you ok?" Tony asked speaking up from the deafening silence.

"I think I am...but I'm not sure."

"Heavy news for you to digest I assume, right?"

"...yeah, I don't think you would really know how it feels for you to find that out." She replied.

"No I wouldn't..." Tony said while retreating back deep into thought.

Johanna clicked her heels three times, in the odd chance it would take her away from his upsetting situation instead it just kept her there causing her to ponder some more on what she just heard. Finally holding back tears she let them dropped down her face slowly and leaving her face a hot pink color.

"Hey hey, it's ok. Now to cheer you up and to sort of welcome you to the future, why don't we get some dinner together? To ight does that sound good?" To y said as he held her hand in a comforting embrace.

"Yes it does, I haven't eaten in ages." Johanna responded cracking a small joke.

"Well then it's a date, I'll pick you up at 8 alright?"
