Chapter XII: Runaway

Anna’s POV

Last night was a success. I was worried at first that it would be a total failure but I saw Kayne having a really good time so I guess I succeeded! I started to open my eyes and I saw Liam still sleeping and his arms wrapped around me. He was so adorable. I got out of bed without him waking up and I went to the kitchen. I decided to make him some crepes for breakfast since I had some made some last night. I got out the tray and put the plate on it. I made him a strawberry shake and next to it was a plate of crepe with banana, nutella, and whip cream. I carried the tray and went in Liam’s room. He was still sleeping so I put his breakfast on the side table. I sat on the bed and poked him. He turned over. “Baby please wake up.” I said sweetly. “A couple more minutes.” He said. “But…” I faked sobbed. He turned to me instantly, “What’s wrong babe?” He asked. I smiled and gave him his breakfast. He smiled at me and gave me quick kisses on my cheek and lips.

I went to the bathroom and cleaned up a bit. I took his dirty clothes off the floor and put it in the laundry basket. When I was sorting out his dirty clothes I saw his shirt from last night. It had a stain of lipstick on the collar. I remember that I haven’t even seen him that much last night because I was running all over the place to get things in control. Who did this? I was about to cry but Liam called me to have some of his breakfast. I went out of his bathroom. “I’m not hungry. I have to go out real quick. I’ll see you when I get back.” I said without looking at him. I quickly walked out of his room and I heard him calling my name to come back.

“Harry, can I borrow the car we rented real quick?” I asked Harry. “Sure. Where you going?” He asked. “I’m just going to run some errands and stuff. I’ll be back soon.” I assured him. “Alright. Drive safely.” He handed me his keys with a hint of concern his eyes.

I went in the car and drove off. I didn’t know where to go. I wanted to go home. I decided to go to the airport and go home. I needed time to think about this. I parked the car and went inside the airport. I bought a ticket and went to the gate with nothing but my purse and my phone. When we were about to board the plane I got my phone to text Harry where to find the car.

To Harry:

Harry, something came up. I’m leaving on a flight right now back to California. The car is parked on the 2nd floor. I’ll see you when I get back. Got to go.

I turned off my phone and went in the plane. I didn’t know what to do but go home. I needed time alone. I knew everyone would be worried but I couldn’t go back to Liam. I thought he was loyal. I thought he would never do that? Why did he? He’s just like Zac. I slept through out the whole flight and woke up right in time the plane was landing. When we landed I turned on my phone to call Lily or Lea to pick me up. When I texted them my inbox was flooded.

From Harry:

What the hell Anna? Why did you just leave? Are you okay? What’s wrong? Call us as soon as you can!

From Liam:

Were you ever going to tell me you left? I had to hear from Harry? What’s wrong? Tell me please! Come home! If you don’t I’ll go to you!

From Kayne:

You better explain yourself now! We’re all so worried about you. Go back now! Tell us what happened. What happened to you?

From Louis:

Hey so-called friend. You left without leaving a note or even at least saying why you left. You need to explain.

From Lily:

I’m close to the airport. I’m with Lea. We will be there in 15 minutes.

I went outside to wait for Lily. Luckily there were already there waiting for me. I was greeted with hugs and questions. “What are you doing here Anna?” Lily asked. I told her what I saw on Liam’s shirt. They both hugged me and assured me that maybe it was just a misunderstanding but they told me to stay home for a while until I’m ready to face him again to talk and clear things out.

The girls dropped me off to the house and I went inside. It felt weird being home but I did miss it a lot. I miss the peace and quiet. I turned on the television and I was shocked to see what was on. It was some celebrity news channel.

Breaking news: Liam Payne’s girlfriend was seen at the airport heading back to California by herself! Are they still together? Or did she call quits?

Didn’t they have anything better else to do than snoop around some juicy details about our relationship? Damn. How does Liam feel? I miss him.

Liam’s POV

She wouldn’t answer my calls or my texts. I’m so worried about her. I don’t know what happened. She made me breakfast which was so sweet of her then she just leaves. I’m so confused. I thought of everything that could have gone wrong. I remember before she left my room was when she was in my bathroom. I quickly went inside and I saw the reason why she was mad and just stormed off. I saw the shirt with the lipstick.

Flashback:

I’m standing around while waiting for Anna to notice me. She was so busy with the event and stuff that we haven’t even talked or seen each other yet. I was fine with it though. She looked amazing and she did an amazing job with Kayne’s party. Everything was amazing. I stood there waiting when someone suddenly grabbed me and kiss my neck and I guess she kissed my collar. I pushed the girl away and yelled at her. I need to talk to Anna about this.

I hope I could explain. She won’t pick up my calls or answer my texts. I need to see her. I’m going to see her. I have 5 days before the next concert I need to go now. “Harry, can you drive me to the airport? I’m going to get Anna.” I said. He got his keys and we rushed to the airport.

I landed in California and took a cab to Anna’s house. I knocked on the door and she opened the door. “Liam, what are you doing here?” She asked. “I need to explain. Let me explain.” I said. She nodded and I went inside the house and explained everything that happened that night. She was shocked and embarrassed that she left for nothing. I hugged her and kissed her until she stopped crying. “I love you babe. I would have reacted the same way. Just remember you are the only one for me. I love you so much. No one will ever replace you.” I told her.

Real_Liam_Payne: Everyone the rumors are not true. I am still taken. I am with @annaohdarling and she is mine forever! Here in California with my babe. Leaving tomorrow with my babe to get ready for the next concert tomorrow.

annaohdarling: I love @Real_Liam_Payne forever.

“Come here love.” I held out my arm for her to lay down next to me. She snuggled up to me and we kissed passionately. “I love you.” I said. She smiled, “I love you too babe.” I kept kissing her until she fell asleep.
