It's hard letting go

Wukong ran, and ran trying to escape the demon trailing behind him while trying to keep his son safe. As Wukong ran He saw a lamp post, and he ran towards it. The type of demon chasing after him liked staying in dark places and disliked the light. When wukong made it to the lamp post he saw the demon hiss and run away. Wukong sighed in relief as he looked down at his son. The baby monkey smiled seeing his father and made a happy chirping sound. Wukong smiled, but the smile soon dropped after he remembered what he had to do. Wukong started walking to the orphanage, once he stood at the doorstep he pulled a strand of his hair making a basket with a card with Xiǎotiān's name and birthdate. Wukong gently put his son in the basket making the baby monkey tilt his head in confusion. Wukong felt the tears start to form and let loose.- I mean what do you expect? It's not easy having to leave your kid so demons won't try and kill him-. Wukong looked at Xiǎotiān and kissed his head and whispered, "I'm so sorry baby.*sniff* B-But it's for your safety. I can't lose someone else. Not again. I love you." with that Wukong left Xiǎotiān on the doorstep of the orphanage knocking on the door before leaving. Wukong tried to keep his composure but broke down once he could no longer see the orphanage. His vision was blurry, and the only thing he could hear was his son's cries.

A man who worked in the orphanage had heard the baby's cries outside and went to go look, he gasped once he took a look at the baby monkey, his shocked expression soon turned into a soft one as he picked up the baby monkey and the card in his the basket. The man pushed up his glasses as he walked inside, closing the door.

                                                                                      "I love you" was all that rang through the baby monkey's head as he started falling asleep in the man's arms.
