A girl who wished someone understood her

She never understood math, but she loved it anyhow. She tried and spent hours and hours doing the same exercises till she understood half of it. Math wasn't for her; it pushes her away, making her realize it was too difficult for her. Nonetheless, she clung to them. She felt safe with math because she was aware of all of its darker sides first.

It explains why she loved the people who pushed her away. She didn't understand them, but she liked them despite their flaws, even if she knew she'd never find a solution.
