My heart burns

Burnt is my body, the fire my light

The flames never burnt so bright

The cries never that loud

You were the cool oasis to the fires of my soul,

You the yin to my yang,

The one that should never leave,

The first I ever named, my love

But maybe I said to your sweet roses,

And gone you were May 21st

I have spent my life looking for a rose as sweet as you,

But never has there even been one like you,

Sweet and red just like you're tender lips

Believe me I've tried, scrounging around in the Gardens of Eden,

But even an angel, so heavenly and pure could not compare to you

Within me there are fires that burn so bright,

I have burnt every petal of every rose,

Except for the ones you gave me, a solemn goodbye

But now even the roses have wilted and there is nothing left

I yearn for nothing more but the smell of your breath
