Ji-na stands with her co-workers while waiting for ha-ri "Ms. Yeo." ji-na hears ha-ri called "why are you so late?" "because of the mackerel." ha-ri response "take it easy, will you" Ji-na says as one of their co-workers sniff the air
their eyes wideing "you stink of fish" "is it that bad? i can't really tell" ha-ri says sniffing the sleeve of her arm "how could you not? come here" the co-worker says before spraying ha-ri "it's fine. it's just proof of how hard you're working as a researcher"
their boss says ha-ri smiles and tries to hug her before being pushed away but ha-ri hug her anyway "the inauguration will start soon please be seated" an announcement said through the speakers
"Let's go sit"
"okay"
they all walk into a room full of people they walk around before sitting in their seats "President Kang will now make his inauguration address" the person at the mic says everyone starts clapping as a man walks out
"hello everyone, i am Chief secretary Cha Sung-hoon here on behalf of president Kang" he says, at that everyone starts talking "The Cheif secretary?" ha-ri says "i will now deliver his inauguration address"
"Thank you to everyone who arranged today's ceremony, even though i clearly told you that i didn't want one, i hope going forward we will meet for business matters, not for such impractical and ceremonial events, i will properly introduce myself soon, Thank you- President Kang Tae-Moo."
"this is amazing" Ji-na says in amazement
the president's dad stands up angrily and says something inaudible that Ji-na couldn't hear "oh he's mad" one of the co-workers says "so where is the president?" the boss asks "The new president seems like an interesting person" ha-ri says
"since it's Ms. Shin's birthday, i made reservations at Auntie's street food for our team dinner today Ms. Shin's favorite!" at that they all cheer
" Oh, you guys didn't have to do that just for my birthday, Thank you " ha-ri says smiling "What are you talking about? A team's got to stick together." one of the co-workers say
"You're buying right?" ha-ri smiles
"Mom!" "Gosh, what you scared me!" "i told you that you have to coat the chicken properly to make it crispy" ha-ri told her mom "i told you you have to be thorough" "But i am tossing it" her mom told her
"if we're not going to do things right we should just close up shop." ha-ri muttered " i guess that's why the chicken Ha-ri makes tastes better, you're the best" a man told her
"of course! she works at a major company, after all. she's different" ha-ri father said
"why are you so edgy today?" her mother muttered to ha-ri "it can't feel great to have to work on your birthday, of all days" her father said "So what? I'm the one who gave birth after 20 hours of labor!" her mother said angrily
ha-ri turned and stared at her
"Toss and toss and toss..."
"what's the point in group reservations? you give them a discount" ha-ri said her parents turned to look at her "and they just fill up on the free snacks" ha-ri sighed loudly
from the inside of the store they heard some commotion going on outside they all ran outside to see ha-ri brother and the neighbor arguing, they argued until ha-ri shoved the bucket at the man causing him to fall down
"You were the one who started it!" ha-ri yelled
"get in here" ha-ri's mom said hana sitting beside ha-ri "Man, breaking the neighbor's store sign and everything i feel so bad" ha-ri dad said "Everyone in the shin family has such a temper!" her mom said
Ji-na looked around until ha-ri's mom turned to her "you need to control her" she said pointing at Ji-na "as if it wasn't enough that Ha-min started fighting, why did you do that"
she asked ha-ri
"i got this temper from you, Mom" ha-ri said "Yes, why are you blaming it on the shins?" her brother agreed with her "What? since when did you two get along so well?, you guys just have to talk back like that, don't you"
ha-ri's mom said angrily as she threw a pillow at ha-min and hit ha-ri "it's because i take after you, Mom!" ha-ri yelled at her mom Ji-na's eyes widened "it's my birthday!" she before getting up
"Why are you hitting me?"
she said before grabbing Ji-na's hand dragging the poor girl
"you can't keep on using that as an excuse!, i made you seaweed soup in the morning! isn't that enough!"
