It has been three weeks since the incident with Quaritch and the soldiers. Jake decided it was best for him and his family to leave the Omaticaya clan for their safety. And with some luck, I joined them.
Neteyam was begging his dad all night for me to come. He made up excuses such as, "She is a skilled warrior, she will protect us." And "Tuk will be upset if we leave her."
Jake gave up and took me with them. He also thought it was best just in case I decided to tell Quaritch where they were going, which I wouldn't do.
Since coming to the Metkayina clan, Kiri has been very quiet and she's been keeping to herself. I can tell she's upset about Spider, but Ao'nung hasn't been leaving her alone. He's constantly calling her a freak.
At one point, I overheard him talking about Kiri to his friends. I snuck behind a rock, grabbed a stone, and threw it straight at his head. I quickly ran off back to my cot.
Lo'ak has been stuck to a girl named Tsireya, they definitely like each other. She's been teaching us how to hold our breath for long periods of time, which is definitely working. I can hold my breath underwater for around five to ten minutes.
But it's been difficult for me as well. I found out that the mountain Na'vi have not been seen in years, which means I'm getting a lot of attention. But not good attention. Everyone from the Metkayina clan have been careful around me since I have "demon blood."
Tsireya, her parents, and Rotxo are all kind to me and the others. They do not call us demons and they trust us. I think I'll try speak to Ao'nung later, I need to tell him to stop being a bitch.
I walk over to Neteyam who is petting an Ilu. "Is this your Ilu?" I stroke the Ilu's head and it starts to make a clicking noise.
"Yes, I've named her Tseysaye." He smiles at the Ilu and pats her neck. She then swims away towards a few other Ilu.
"When does the training start?" I start to stretch my arms and legs while looking at Neteyam.
"No training today. You're good with a bow and you've also mastered stealth and speed. Your climbing has improved and you're familiar with commonly used Na'vi words." My eyes widen and I look over at Neteyam. He nods in approval and I hug him as hard as I can.
I pull away and say, "So my training is done? All of it?" Neteyam nods and says, "You've done a very good job, you're basically as good as me."
"I wouldn't say I'm as good as you. You're still better than me, thank you Neteyam."
He smiles at what I said but then frowns a little bit. "I'm sorry you weren't able to bond with an Ikran, you would've really loved flying with one."
"It's okay Neteyam. I have my own Ilu now, and I prefer flying with you." He laughs and rolls his eyes.
"I'll talk to you later, I need to go speak to Ao'nung." He gives me a worried look.
"Try not to get into trouble Zaya." He gives me a serious look and i roll my eyes at him.
"You know I wont Neteyam." As I walk off I turn to wave at him. He waves back and shouts "If you have to, teach that skxawng a lesson."
I turn back around and laugh at what he said. If Ao'nung starts anything with me, it won't end well for him. Lo'ak taught me some fighting stuff, he said he learnt it from his dad.
Lo'ak also taught me how to use a gun, which I don't think I'll be using often but it's good to know.

"You need to stop being a skxawng Ao'nung!" I push Ao'nung when he tries to get close to me.
"Shut up you freak. How dare you and your demon family walk in and call my home yours. I will never accept you as Metkayina!" He pushes me back, making me fall onto the floor.
I quickly get back up and slap him. "I don't want to fight you, I just want you to stop fucking with me and my family!"
"What is all this noise!" Me and Ao'nung both turn around and see Tonowari walk in.
"This demon will not leave me alone! She just walked in and started attacking me!" I feel myself starting to feel my face heat up.
"What! He is lying. I came here to tell Ao'nung to stop treating me and the others like shit!" I stare at Ao'nung, he smirks a slight bit.
"I saw that smirk boy! You come with me. I am sorry for my son's behaviour Zaya." Tonowari grabs Ao'nung and walks off.
I don't know why, but I feel bad. I quickly run to Tonowari. "It is also kind of my fault, I pushed him first." Tonowari gives me a disappointed look and let's go of Ao'nung.
"I do not want to hear that you two have been arguing again." He gives us both one final look and walks away.
"You didn't have to do that." He looks at me with a dull face.
"You're such a bitch, I stick up for you and not even a thank you." I start to walk away but then he grabs my arm. I pull my arm away and turn around.
"Thank you." He doesn't look at me while he says it, but that was good enough.
"If I hear you have been calling anyone a freak, I will rip both your ears off." I watch his ears lower as I say that. He nods and I walk off.
-
"So he's finally gonna leave us alone?" Lo'ak says with an uncertain look.
"I think he'll just stop being a bitch, but if he tries anything come and get me or your brother." Lo'ak nods and then runs over to Kiri, Tuk and Tsireya, who are all swimming in the water.
Suddenly, someone covers my eyes from behind me, "Guess who." I smile at the voice I hear.
"I know it's you Neteyam, I recognise your voice." He removes his hand and turns me to face him.
"Did you speak to Ao'nung?" He asks while still holding onto both sides of my arms.
"Yes, we had a tiny fight but it's all okay now." Neteyam nods and says, "As long as it's okay then."
"Do you want to come climbing with me over there Neteyam?" I point to a steep but climbable cliff.
"Okay, but we both must be careful."
Me and Neteyam head over to the cliff and decide we are going to race each other up the cliff.
"Ready sky girl?" Neteyam looks over at me with a sly smirk.
"You know I am. Ready, and go!" I start to climb the cliff, but Neteyam is already pretty far ahead of me. I start to catch up with him and when I'm next to him I smirk at him.
By mistake, I put my foot on a loose rock and I fall a bit. I hold onto a sturdy part of the cliff as I call Neteyam to help.
He quickly comes over to me and wraps his arm around my waist. I put my feet on more sturdy rocks and when I'm more safer he lets go of my waist.
"Take your time Zaya, no more racing." I nod and start to climb again. He makes sure to stay more lower down just in case I nearly fall again.
We both finally make it up the cliff and we sit on the edge together.
"Zaya, can I tell you something?" He looks at me seriously and I feel myself getting nervous.
"Yes, go ahead." His shoulders tense and he looks me in the eyes.
"Nga yawne lu oer."
