Parts of this chapter will be written in Swedish although it's mostly just a few sentences and I will provide translations in the comments. To make life easier on all of us I will keep the better part of the conversations in English (:
————————————————————————

Home sweet home.
Stepping through the doorway I am immediately pulled into a familiar embrace.

"Mamma "
I smile into the hug and pull her closer, relishing in the comfort of finally hugging my mum. I haven't seen her for about a month since RedBull wanted me to spend a good amount of the winter break training both physically and in the simulator and she hadn't been able to attend the Bahrain Gp.

After a good few moments she breaks the hug and takes a step back. She puts her hands on either side of my face and takes a good look at me.
"Ååh älskling vad jag saknat dig"

You never really realize how much you can miss your parents voice until you have to be away for long extended time periods.

I am just about to pull her back into my embrace when I hear a high pitched squeal.

"Emmyyyy"

Tilting my head to look behind me I se my younger sister running from the stairs towards me.

I take a side-step away from my mother and stretch out my arms, readying myself to catch her. She comes flying with such a big speed it sends me spinning as I wrap my arms around her little waist and lift her off the ground.

She clings onto me tightly and wraps et arms around my neck and her legs around my waist.

"Men gud, you've grown soo much." The genuine smile on my face is so wide it makes my cheeks hurt but I pay it no mind.

"How old are you even now, like ten or what?"

I positioned her so that she is resting on my hip and use my now free hand to tickle her ribs, she giggles and pushes her head into the crook of my neck.

"Five"
She manages to get out between her laughter and adorable little squeals.

"Hm well I guess then maybe you're not old enough for the gift I got you" I grin as her smile suddenly drops.
Right she still doesn't understand sarcasm.

"Just kidding loser, now go sit on the couch and wait for me to bring you the gift. No peeking" I smile down at her as I set her back onto the ground and nudge her back in the direction of the downstairs living room.

Once she is out of earshot I smile at my mum.
"How have you been? You look great? Dads not home?" She just smiles and shakes her head in a motherly way at my wave of questions.

"I've been great darling, thank you. Dad isn't home and won't be until tomorrow, you know how he is with work and all but he did invite Kimi, Kevin, Markus and their families to dinner for the day after tomorrow which means that " I just smile at her and shrug my shoulders. Trying to cover up the sour disappointment and slight relief caused by my dads very expected but still disappointing absence creeping up on my good mood.

We stand in silence for a few moments and I sweep my gaze across the room, looking for any change to make conversation from.

"Did you forget that you left Iris waiting in the living room?"

"Nope, just keeping up with my sisterly duty to make her sweat a little."

***
I am sitting in front of my vanity mirror with bright lights surrounding to get the optimal light, touching up my make up and staring at my hair trying to decide if the rollers should stay in for another ten minutes when my door burst open.

"Trollungen!" My brother bursts through my door, grinning from ear to ear and Goulding his arms out for me.

"Leon!" I squeal and run towards him, slinging my arms around his neck and laughing as he spins us around.

"I've missed you so much pucko, you look so grown" I roll my eyes at him and can't help but smile at the resemblance between how he speaks to me and how I speak to Iris, we really were raised by the same people.

"Missed you more, you really should come visit me more often, you know maybe show up to a race or something " He releases me and drags a roller out of my hair and throws it at me before grinning and turning around.

"Kevin and Markus will be here in five so maybe make yourself look less homeless"

"Fuck you!"
I slam the door to further push my response.
Oh how I've missed my brother.

I hurry up to finish my make up as quickly and then change into a form fitting black dress, sucking in my belly and smoothing it over with my hands. I sigh and run my fingers over my slightly protruding ribs, counting them.

I let out a long breath before walking over to my mirror. Looking in it for a good few seconds before I start twisting the rollers out of my hair and then finishing up with a good amount of hairspray.

***
"Kimi!" I smile and pick up my pace a little as I make my way towards him, wrapping my arms around his neck and smiling when he wraps his arms around my waist. As he straightens up he effectively lifts me off the floor and we remain like this- swaying from side to side for a good few moments.

After he put me back onto my feet I greet his wife, Smiling since she usually doesn't bother joining these dinners. It's pretty much f1 and previous f1 drivers only, courtesy of my dad being the Adam Volvo, one of the biggest investors in Motorsport in general.

Dad owns a big car trading company and many smaller companies, effectively making him, and me by proxy filthy rich. Since dad has always been invested in racing it really is a no brained why he chose to first make connections by being an active sponsor and then pushing his children into formula one.

"You look taller" Kimi smiles, giving me a nod.

"She is wearing heels"
Leon emerges from the hallway leading to the living room.

"Well you still look the same hight as last time, eat more vegetables" Kimi grins at Leon, patting his back as they hug each other.

"Maybe because I am a grown man and I have stopped growing"

"You? Not grown man, not tall man. Eat vegetables."

***
We are all sat by the dining table, eating and partaking in intense conversations. Everyone is taking their turn to jab at one another by bringing up a bad racing memory and I have laughed so much I fear some of my eye makeup has smeared.

"Okey well so how do you guys all know each other?" Markus girlfriend asks.

We all look at each other to decide who will be doing the story telling before I nod- signaling that I'll tell the story.

"Well so okay Kimi and my dad were the first two in this room to meet one another. Kimi was getting started in f1 and my dad had just inherited the big company from my grandfather who was stepping down. So he decided to sponsor Kimi since a Finnish driver seemed to be as close to a Swedish one we could get. And from there I guess they just became friends since dad spent so much time at the different races in order to pick up as much of the sport as possible.
So then Leon was born when pappa and mamma were still very young. As Leon grew older dad put him into karting where he met Kevin and Markus since they all competed agains each other, and since they all understood each other, well except for Kevin he struggled a bit with being the Danish one of course, they all became very good friends.

Then later on about twelve years later to be exact- I was born. And by then Kimi and pappa were so close that they made Kimi my godfather and well I mean that is it really. It's the racing that stuck us all together"
I let out a big breath and smile.

"Well that sounds nice"

"Yeah it is for the most part, sometimes it just gets a little too testosterone gymbro competition for me"

"I can attest to that" kimis wife smile."
