"Yeah I didn't eat at lunch today"
"Why ?" I sat there dumbfounded,she went 8 hours without eating anything?
"Well remember they said we need to pay for the free food program?"
"Yeah but mom paid it didn't she ?'
"Nope" she said popping the 'p'
"That schools dumb how is it free if we gotta pay' I mumbled checking my account balance

"How much is it again?" I sighed realising the little cash I had left
"I dont know like a hundred dollars '
"I'll pay it tomorrow we'll just walk you to school "
"I'm tired of walking to school everyday " She huffed Looking in the fridge
"I know and if I had money to just pay a Uber to take you there I would but then I won't have anything to buy us food with cause mom clearly don't care"
She looked at me suspiciously eyeing the food in the Tupperware container in her hand opening it to take a sniff
"Does it smell weird to you ?' She said walking towards me with the container opend I took a sniff of it and it smelt so bad
"Ugh no it's bad toss it" I said scrunching up my face
"There's nothing to eat "
"Wanna go buy something at the deli ?"
"Yeaaa I'm starving ain't it a corner store?"

I put on my long sleeve Black shirt with a hoodie, leggings, sweatpants socks and my only pair of Uggs
"Grab a coat too its getting real cold ". I yelled poking my head out of my bedroom door
I combed through my hair parting it in the middle leaving it down so my ears don't get cold
"Nappy ass hair " I mumbled when my comb almost broke putting it down on the dressing table grabbing my North Face puffer jacket searching through my purse looking for the money I had from yesterday
