Chapter 5: Painting the Town Red

Team RWBY gathered into their dorm, and Blake said, "Are we still doing our investigation?"

"Oh, I forgot we were doing that!" said Ruby.

"Are you sure it's safe?" asked Weiss, "The Decepticons could be out there."

"Come on Weiss," said Yang, "What's the chance that the White Fang is working with them?"

The team got dressed, and were ready to go.

"So, who's ready to take on a secret organization?" asked Ruby excitedly.

"I'm glad you're taking this seriously," said Weiss.

"Hey, we have a plan," said Yang, "that's moderately serious."

"Anyway," said Ruby, "Everyone remember their roles?"

"Ruby and I will go to the CCT tower to get information about recent Dust robberies from the Schnee Dust Company," said Weiss, "Since I'm a member of the family, it shouldn't be too hard."

"I have a friend downtown who knows a lot," said Yang, "I'll go down and visit him."

"The White Fang have new recruit meetings at night," said Blake, "I might be able to infiltrate."

"Alright," said Ruby, "Let's do this!"

"Yeah!" cried another voice.

Everyone looked to the window and saw Sun hanging upside down by his tail from a tree.

"Sun, what are you doing?" asked Blake.

"What, I do this all the time," replied Sun.

"Do what?" asked Weiss.

"Climb trees," said Sun, "so you guys are going off to fight the White Fang?"

"Yeah," said Ruby, "we're doing this as a team, but we really don't want to get friends involved."

"That's stupid," said Sun, "you should always get friends involved. That's why I brought Neptune."

They all looked outside and saw Neptune on the ledge of the building.

"How did you get up here?" asked Yang.

"I have my ways," said Neptune.

"Um, could I come in now. It's pretty high up here."

Neptune was let in and they rethought the roles.

"So Sun and I will go to the White Fang meeting," said Blake.

"And Neptune will come with Yang," said Ruby.

"Alright," said Ruby, "let's go!"

"Wait," said Weiss, "why don't you go with Yang, Ruby? She is your sister after all."

"But who would you go with Weiss?" asked Ruby.

"Well, Neptune could come with me," said Weiss.

Ruby then just laughed and said, "Nah."

Ruby then dragged Weiss out the door. The rest then headed out to their tasks.

Ruby and Weiss arrived at tower, and Ruby accidentally dropped her scroll, and someone picked it up for her.

She had short, rather curly orange hair that came down to her chin with a small cowlick on top, and she wore a pink bow on the back of her head. She also had bright green eyes, light skin, and freckles. She wore an off white old-fashioned styled off the shoulder blouse with frill detailed trim and frill flared cuffs that half covered her hands alongside copper button detailing on the lower parts of her sleeves. She also sported a short gray pinafore dress with golden trim on the hem alongside four light green stalagmite styled stripes on the lower half of the dress, two on the front and two on the back, accompanied by two matching colored circles above the tips that had a stripe that ran around her waistline, with golden outlines, and a detachable black and light green collar. She also wore a pair of black thigh-high leg pieces that seemingly were attached to black shoes. The leg pieces had a single green stripe up the sides that appeared to light up.
