A type of octopus like monster, having 8 tentacles and a thin exoskeletal shell it has four tentacles with a sharp exoskeleton, allowing it to move on land easily, unlike its aquatic friends it can live on land relatively easily.

Shelcars can spit a shard of bone at a high speed towards nearby enemies with a range of 30ft this deals 2d4 + 4 piercing damage.

Shelcars are extremely weak to blunt impacts, taking 50% more damage from them while taking 75% less from piercing and slashing.

A shelcars sharp exoskeletal claws deal 2d8 + 3 Slashing or piercing damage for melee strikes.

There is only one known variant of the shelcar, almost identical in every single way it is simply dramatically larger, it is unknown if this is an adult or a mutation.

Instead of spitting one bone fragment, they spit a shrapnel storm within a 15ft cone, this deals 3d6 + 3 Piercing damage to all within range.

Its sharp exoskeletal claws deal 3d10 + 4 Slashing damage for melee strikes, unable to stab things with its size, it can also deal 4d8 + 5 Bludgeoning damage.

A normal Shelcar is a CR 2 monster while it's giant relative is a CR 5 monster.
