I slowly open my eyes, my head throbbing with pain. I was laying on the gym floor. I got up and saw glass and gunpowder all around me. My head was spinning so much that I couldn't think straight. My vision was back and I could see clearly again.
I rushed to get up and I felt dizzy, realizing blood from my nose came running down to the top of my lip. My arm hurt so much.
Next to me, I spot a gun. The gun that tall mysterious person knocked me out with. I knew I wasn't supposed to touch a gun but I had no choice but to grab it.
With the gun in my hand, I slid my feet to look around and there I saw a shadow behind me.
I point the gun towards the wall, then behind me. Yet again I see more shadows behind and on the side of me.
Out of fear I aim the gun towards the mirror in front of me thinking someone was behind me. But the mirror shattered and an explosion of glass hit me in the neck.
Broken glass was all over the floor, so I dropped the gun and put my hand on my heart. I felt nauseous and light- sensitivity controlled my vision.
It took me a second to catch my breath again. I realized I was in another bathroom. The girl's bathroom from downstairs this time. I looked in the mirror to my right. I stared at two cuts that were on my face, and a huge cut on the side of my lip, then blood under my nostrils.
I looked beaten up. As much as all of it hurt, I knew that I was tough.
I always have to be tough, no matter what. My mother always told me, "A positive mindset brings positive thoughts," I repeat in my head twice. I knew in my gut I had to know why the intruder was targeting me.
I wanted to know what he wanted. It was my turn to be the bad guy but only to fight for my school. I wouldn't let him hurt anyone, or even point a gun at anyone, especially me.
Out of nowhere the words slipped out and I shouted, "Where are you! I will find you?" I walked up the stairs and looked all around me to search for the intruder.
I got closer to my locker there he was, in the hallway right in front of me. When he looked at me he slowly waved his hand at me with a creepy look on his face.
I could barely see his face but I only saw the bottom half where his mouth was and I know for sure he's a man. I hesitated. I throw my hand over my heart to feel it skip a beat. I wanted to run but I couldn't move. He pulls a bigger gun out of the side of his pocket and starts walking closer to me.
Now he was three feet away from me. I had to run but I couldn't feel my feet. Next thing I knew, I stumbled over my feet and turned around to run.
I hear his footsteps behind me and hear him cocking his gun. He was right behind me.
