May was busy doing her look in the mirror as she was humming a tune
"You're looking nice today," Serena said
"Today is the photo shoot, got to make sure I'm ready," May said as she was about to tie her bandana "Help?"
"Of course," Serena said as she fixed May's hair a little before she tied it in the bandana "Tada!"
"Wow Serena you did that so naturally, you have an eye for this stuff," May said as Serena mildly blushed from the praise "Alright I hope Max is ready"
"Let's go check," Serena said as they went to check on the boys
They walked into the room they were sleeping in to see them only just waking up with bedhead and everything
"Looks like they just woke up," Serena said as she looked at May who was fuming
"Max!"
"I'm going!" Max said rushing to get ready
"Sorry we were talking late last night so we might have overslept," Ash said scratching the back of his head
"What were you talking about?" Serena asked
"Max was just asking us a lot about our journey so far, from the gyms to your performances and other stuff," Ash said
"Performances?" May said
"Yeah Serena here is an amazing Pokémon Performer, she was the runner-up in the finals," Ash said
"Kalos hosts a competition to be named Kalos Queen involving a performance and other rounds such as baking and dressing up their Pokémon," Clemont said
"Wow Serena you're amazing, I struggle to find outfits sometimes and you can do it like it's your job," May said as Serena blushed from the compliment
"Hey, can you wake up Bonnie? And we'll meet you downstairs when we're done" Clemont said as Serena and May nodded
After a little bit everyone was ready and dressed May was in her usual outfit her hair done up a bit more with the products she put in it and Max was wearing a blue shirt and not his usual green

(Max was based on the school kid/boy class in RSE, in ORAS they made the shirt green to reference Max but the original gen 3 sprite wore blue)
"I don't think blue's my color," Max said
"I think it looks good on you," Bonnie said
"Thanks, just feels weird to wear something different for some pictures," Max said
"I told you red and blue are opposites they complement each other when taking the photo," May said as she wore red and he now wore blue
Serena looked at her mostly red outfit and then at Ash's mostly blue outfit and smiled to herself, then she looked at May and she had that realization they both do then she looked at Clemont in his mostly blue attire and realized it was no use overthinking it as she did before with Ash and May
