Janet
The sunlight hit my face through the window. Turning over, I rubbed my eyes. Once my eyes got adjusted, I sat up against the headboard. While stretching, I felt a piece of paper on arm. I knew he left it, because it's what he always does when he's not able to stay over.

Babe,

I would've kissed you goodbye, but you looked so beautiful sleeping and I knew you had a busy day ahead of you. I did, however, leave a few surprises for you. One is next to bed. The second is in the bathroom. The third is in the kitchen. Enjoy and I'll see you later. Love you.

I smiled like a fool. He always made me feel special and extremely loved. I folded the note and put it in my nightstand drawer with the others. On the opposite nightstand, I saw a small box and eagerly grabbed it. Inside was a beautiful necklace with an airplane charm. Along with it was another note. He usually only leaves one.

I know I usually only leave one more but today is special. It's exactly two years since we've admitted our feelings for each other. I remember because we were on the plane heading to London and you confided in me about the sadness you felt in your marriage. This airplane charm will be a reminder of that day, as well as all of the trips we've taken and will take together.

I felt a wave of love and guilt. I can't believe I forgot this day. I have to get him something. He's always so loving and attentive to me. Going to my mirror, I put the necklace on and admired it. It was just my style. Not too much but just enough.

After almost a minute of looking at the necklace, it finally hit me how quickly I stood up from the bed. I felt a numbness and pain in my legs, causing me to sit on the bench in front of my bed.

I softly massaged my legs and looked over the slight marks on them. I bit my lip as the memories of last night flooded my brain. The kissing. The hugging. The licking. The soft biting. The squeezing. The perfect combination of pain and pleasure.

My legs felt a little better, so I made my way into the bathroom and immediately was met with the gentle smell of lavender and hibiscus. There was a bubble bath set up and my wax burner was releasing the smell throughout the bathroom.

There wasn't a note but I knew what this was for. I undressed and eased into the tub. Instantly, I felt relaxed. This was my favoritism thing to do but I never have time to set it up. Luckily, I didn't have to be anywhere for a few hours, so I had time to enjoy it.
I closed my eyes and thought about the last two years of my life. Surviving an abusive marriage, having my baby boy, finding new love, and a new sense of life. I haven't felt this happy and content in years. Some would expect me to be very public about all of it, but people who knew me knew that I was very private. Which is why my love of two years has been kept hidden. We both agreed it was best that way.

I decided to get out of the tub before I got too relaxed. I dried off and wrapped myself in my towel before doing the rest of my hygiene. Once that was done, I went into the closet to find an outfit. I decuto go simple since I was only going to the studio today. I settled on a simple pair of black jeans, a graphic tee, and some sneakers. I didn't feel like doing too much to my hair so I just put it in a ponytail.

Heading downstairs, I thought of stopping in my
baby's room but I remembered he was with his father for the week. I hated to send him because I never know everything that happens and knowing Wissam, he's probably got some chick around him. It made my blood boil.

I shook the thought off and continued downstairs. I remembered the note and went into the kitchen. On the counter, there was a warmer with a lid on it. "Don't tell me he cooked for me." I lifted the lid and there was an omelet with turkey sausage. Next to the warmer, was a little bowl and inside it was cut up strawberries. Without wasting time, I placed the plate on the counter and got my juice before digging in. It was delicious. It always surprised me how great of a cook he was. I savored every bite.

Halfway through my meal, my phone rang. It was Joey. "Hello."
"Hey, Jan. Just letting you know that I'm almost there to take you to the studio. Was there anywhere else you needed to go today?"

"Ummm....I may stop at my mother's house but I don't know if there is anything else at the moment."

"Cool. Oh by the way. Gil is in the car." I rolled my eyes.

"Since when do you pick up Gil first?"

"It was the only way to shut him up."

"Go to hell, Joseph!" I heard Gil yell in the background. I chuckled.

"How close are you?"

"Five minutes."

"Okay. See you when you get here." I hung up and ate the rest of my food. I put my dishes in the sink and made sure I had everything in my purse. A car horn beeped outside and I headed out. After making sure the door was locked, I made my way to the car. "Good morning, Joey."

"Good morning." He opened the door and I got in. Instantly, I was attacked by hugs and kisses from Gil.

"Good morning, bestie." I laughed.

"Good morning, Gilly bear." He sat back in his seat.

"Well, look at this glow. Someone got some yesterday." I blushed. "Oh my god! You did."

"Maybe."

"From the mystery man, huh. When am I going to meet him?"

"When I'm ready for you to."

"Has Joey met him? I'm sure he has."

"No. Joey has not met him."

"Yeah, right. Next to me, Joey knows everything about you." He leaned up. "Who's the mystery man?"

"I don't know, Gil. She drives herself when she goes to see him." Gil sat back and folded his arms.

"I told you. We both agreed that having a private relationship is best for both of us. When we're ready, we will become public." I said.

"But why can't I meet him? We're besties and it's been two years."

"I know. Just be patient. When it's time for you to meet him, you'll meet him."

"Fine." Gil sat back in the seat and pouted.

I laid my head back against the seat and looked out the window. Of course, he was on my mind. He always was and like always, my heart felt full. There were also a number of feelings on other parts of my body. I crossed my legs and took a deep breath. Taking out my phone, I texted him.

Am I going to see you today?

I waited for his text to come through.

Of course. When would you like to see me?

I bit my lip.

Well, I'll be at the studio, obviously.

And?

And...they have bathrooms. Both public and private.

You freaky girl. You're so bad.

I softly chuckled.

Then you need to take care of that, don't you?

Whatever you want, baby.

I smiled and thought about what's going to happen. Ever since I've gotten with him, I've become what some would categorize as a teenager. He just brings out the carefree side of me along with the sexual side. I just love it. I just love him. I can't wait to see him.
