this world is an unforgiving place, it etches
scars into pure, vulnerable minds claiming
that they aren't good enough
you are all tested to a standard
which you must pass
but she was wiser than the test
for she knew life wasn't a test
that you passed or failed based
on answer choice A, B, C, D, or E
for life is a blank sheet of paper
all you need to worry about is
writing it all down before the
ink runs out

PoetryI have all of these poems stashed away in my journal, and I think it's about time I share them. They aren't perfect, they may not make complete sense but they're a piece of me that I'd never change.
