✨The Change✨
"So tell me it's all a bad dream. 'Cause I just can't be without you."
Enzo opened the door to Caroline's hospital room, a soft smile on his face as he looked at her. Caroline gave a small, albeit nervous smile back as she watched the vampire close the door behind him.
"You don't have to do this Caroline, not if you don't want to." Enzo sat on the edge of the bed, eyes warm as he looked at the girl, he considered a second daughter.
"No, I want to. I'm just nervous." Caroline's eyes had a shine of determination, despite her nervous playing of the fingers.
"It'll be alright. Now, are you ready?" Enzo gives her an encouraging look, a sense of calm falling over the blonde. She gives an assured nod in response. Following her response Enzo bit into his wrist and watched as his blood partly filled up a cup.
Taking a breath, Caroline drinks it, a small noise of disgust leaving her. Enzo looks at her with amusement, laying a small soft kiss on her head.
"I'll be back to see you tonight Care, watch out for Katherine's arrival."
"Night Enzo."

Amara wakes up the next morning, a warm Adrian cuddling her tightly. The pair had started to fall asleep together in the evenings, finding it calms both of their nightmares. Normally Caroline would be with Amara, but whilst the blonde was with playing with the Scooby gang, she was having to remain in hospital.
Adrian's fingers lightly traced shapes on Amara's back, her head tucked into his chest. The pair were both awake, silently enjoying each other's company. It had been an eventful night for Adrian, the warlock being plagued with night terrors from when he was human. Amara and Enzo would calm him back down, the vampire making sure to stay up during the night incase either one of them needed him.
The Augustine vampire didn't realise he would gain a family when Amara rescued him, but he wouldn't complain for the world.
A knock on the front door interrupts the two bonded, a small sigh leaving Amara. Adrian chuckled, lightly placing a kiss on her forehead.
"That'll be Bonnie, I'll go let her in. You take your time in coming down little witch." Amara smile softly at her bonded, enjoying the tingles on her skin as he gives her a kiss goodbye. She watches him leave, the smile remaining on her face.
Unfortunately for the Elemental, she didn't notice the shadowy eyes watching her from the shadows, small hollow chuckle sounding.
Sitting up, a cold feeling running over her, Amara slips her feet into her slippers and leaves the room. The eyes never leaving her form.
