Chapter 1-7: 🥀A Tradition Lesson🥀

"Whoa, didn't know you had that in you..." Muttered the white haired bully as he got up from the floor.

The redhead grabbed his friends arm with faked confidence layered on his face, "Look, I'm gonna let you off the hook this time, but only 'cuz I don't want my pasta gettin' cold."

After saying their final words, they proceeded to run out of the cafeteria.

"Pffft! I knew you were all talk! You better hope I never see you again!"

"Grim. In these situations you give your gratitude to your savior. Be polite and say thank you to both Deuce and I." You stated strictly as you lifted Grim by the back of his collar.

Grim looked annoyed, "Myah?! Why?!"

"If you don't... I'll lovingly stuff you in a crate and let you starve." Your smile looked innocent to those around but to Grim, it was the most terrifying thing he has experienced.

Those words immediately made Grim cave and thank and apologize to both you and Deuce.

"They didn't harm you, right Yuu?"

"Nope! I'm fine Y/n. But I guess this is my life now." Sighed Yuu with a defeated expression. "Can we just get some lunch already? I missed breakfast, and I'm about to collapse." Groaned Ace.

Deuce sighed as he listened to his dormmate, "I can't believe this. Textbook bullies at an academy that's supposed to be famous for producing exceptional mages..."

"I share your annoyance Chân. You three should get food together and keep Grim out of further trouble. Yuu. I will retrieve both of our lunches."

With a nod Yuu walked off with the single braincell duo and Grim. Leaving you to find food for Yuu and yourself.

All five of you sit down at a table together. Yuu is sat on your right side while the others are on the other side of the table. The meal you chose for Yuu contained a grilled beef patty with cheese, a side of fresh fruit and a small roll with butter. A meal with protein, dairy, sugar, and grain. You had a feeling that later in the day Yuu would need that extra energy the food would provide.

"Aw, get over it already. It's time to chow like the wind!" Grim exclaimed as he stuffed his mouth with a mountain of food, "This omelet is as fluffy as a cloud, and practically burstin' with cheese!"

His loud munching almost made you lose your appetite. A small speck of food shot out of his mouth and landed on your cheek. It disgusted you. From Yuu's expression, he shared the same thoughts.

"So, I saw your guys' dorm, but what are the other ones like?" Grim asked the duo between bites.

Suddenly a figure plopped down on the left side of you with a smile, "I'm sure you're familiar with the statues of the Great Seven? Night Raven College has a dorm themed after each one." A familiar voice explained.

"Bwah! You're that guy from this morning!" Yelped Ace as he pointed at Cater.

"You tricked us into paintin' those dumb roses!" Growled Grim and bared his fangs.

Cater shrugged with a fake saddened expression, ""Tricked" is such an ugly word. Do you think I wanted to spend MY morning painting roses? It's dorm policy! I was just following orders."

Deuce sighed for the millionth time as he played with his food. "And grinning like a fiend all the while."

"Now, now, Deucey. Outside of the dorm, I don't care what rules you follow. Here, I'm just a friendly mentor figure!"

"Please. Do NOT call me Deucey. Besides, I already see Y/n as my mentor figure. Screw off." Deuce harshly stated towards the playful ginger.

His comment made you smile.
