*LAURYN'S POV*
"So wait, you're telling me that Dave just started being nice to you out of nowhere? You literally did this nigga's hair, and he even gave you a ten dollar tip? We're gonna have a damn tornado."

Candice joked around as the two of us were sitting down at the table, eating dinner together. I laughed and nodded.

"Yup. I was surprised as hell, too."

"AND he was talking shit about Symphony, knowing she's your best friend? Yeahhh, he's definitely fed the fuck up."

"I so agree. But I can also agree that this spaghetti you made? Is bussin!"

"Thank you, thank you. Your little sister is a future chef, I'm telling you."

At that moment, the doorbell rang.

Man, I just came home from work. I do NOT feel like being bothered by company right now.

Getting up to open the door, I looked through the peep hole. And we spoke too soon. There was Symphony, standing on the other side of my door in tears.

"LAURYN, PLEASE! I need you! I'm in need of my best friend right now! Open up!"

Symphony sobbed. Sighing to myself, I slowly opened the door and let her in.

"What's wrong?"

"Dave broke up with me, for good! He made it very clear that he doesn't wanna be with me any longer! Like is he kidding me?! I can't believe this is happening!"

Well, that's your karma. You slept with Millie's boyfriend on prom night. AND you knew I've been had a crush on him for the longest. So now, he doesn't wanna fuck with you.

Karma is a bitch. Ain't it?

"Wow. I'm sorry, girl. I know it was a long six years, but maybe it was for the best."

"For the best?! I literally just lost the love of my life!"

So you THOUGHT he was the love of your life. Clearly, you two were definitely not on the same page with each other.

"Girl, if you don't shut the fuck up, damn! We all go through our own heartbreaks! We're grown, we all gotta suck it up and move the fuck on! You'll find another nigga, that ain't very hard for you! Now can you get the fuck out so I can finish the delicious dinner I made with my sister?!"

Candice yelled out at Symphony.

Thank god someone said it...

Someone had to.

"You know what? I'm sorry for even bothering to come by. I'll just text you, Laur."

Symphony quickly walked out, shutting my door behind her. I started to laugh, looking over at Candice. She shrugged.

"Was that too much?"

"Hell no, that was perfect. Someone had to say that shit. I'm so tired of her whiny ass."

After dinner, Candice had to get going to work. She recently just switched her shifts to night shift instead of morning shifts.
