"Hey Christy." I looked up to find Cameron walking with me on the way to drama class. He was talking to me and we weren't in one of my twisted dreams. Oh, God.
"Hey" I tried to reply calmly.
"You were awesome yesterday. Why do you never show that side of you in drama?"
I blushed. "Oh, thanks."
"You've been getting that a lot lately, haven't you?" I just nodded. "Well, you deserve it."
Allie slid up next to me. "Hey!"
"Hey."
"Hi Allie" Cameron said to her, never leaving my other side. Her eyes widened when she realized we were actually walking together, not just next to each other.
"See ya inside, Christy!" She called as she caught up to the other girls we hung out with in drama. Cameron walked on for a minute in silence before he started talking again.
"So, Christy. Do you want to be an actress?"
I smiled. I wanted to be on Disney Channel soo bad. It might be a stupid dream, but it's my stupid dream. "Ya, more than anything."
"What's you're favorite band?" He asked, changing the subject.
"Allstar Weekend" I tried to say normally, but I could practically feel the little cartoon hearts popping out of my head. The lead singer is way hot.
"You like Zach Porter?" That would be the lead singer.
"Yup!" I was having a harder time keeping those hearts in. " I also like Cameron, the lead bassist "(I know, it's just a coincidence)" but..."
Cameron (drama geek Cameron, not bassist Cameron) interupted. "But you like Zach just that much more."
"Exactly."
"And you're favorite song is Not Your Birthday." I looked up in alarm.
"Okay, now this is starting to get a little creepy. Stalker!" I joked. But it seriously was a little creepy.
He laughed. "No, I just had a dream about you a few nights ago. You were telling me all this stuff about you, and then...Well, you were telling me all this stuff about you. At first I just thought it was a random dream, and none of it was true. But then, when I heard you singing, I realized that you might really be craving fame. And if that was true, maybe the rest was true."
I was staring at him hard. " Was there a huge staircase?"
"Um, no?"
"Were we doing our Grease dance?"
"No..."
"Was I in a coma?"
"Definitely not."
"Oh, I was wondering if we had the same dream."
He looked up. "You had a dream about me?"
"Ya, maybe one...or three."
"You had three dreams about me? Wow, sounds like you have a crush on me." He smiled as we walked into the classroom. Miss M. wasn't there yet. Sometimes we had to wait a few minutes for her.
"No."
"What if you did?"
"I would deny it. And then I would put my acting skills to the test."
"Oh ya? But what if I did this?" He leaned over and kissed me.
Wow. Didn't see that one coming. It took me a second to figure out how to talk again.
"I...I would probably break character." He laughed, but I could still hear the gasps and whispers behind us.
"So, I want to hear what happened in your dreams." I could feel the blood rushing to my cheeks.
"Um, no you don't." Miss M. came in, but we weren't in a hurry yet. We slowly wandered over to the couches.
"Ya, I do. Maybe we could hang out sometime and you could tell me?" Did he just ask me out?! Squeal! Okay, maybe I do have a crush on him.
"Maybe. It depends. Are you going to try to break my character again?" I gave him an oh-what! smile.
"Oooo..." The class chorused.
Cameron returned my playfully competitive smile. "Maybe. Do you want me to break your character again?"
"Ohhhhh!" The class yelled. Miss M. didn't even notice.
Ouch, he got me. I smiled and ducked my head, mumbled, "Maybe", and slunk off to the couch. Allie was waiting there for me. She was giggling, so I could tell she had heard everything. But she turned to me anyway and said "Spill it!" in a dead-on imitation of Amanda.

The Boy in My Dreams
RomanceA story about a girl who keeps having weird dreams about a random guy in her class. FYI, I suck at English, so this book might be awful. I'm just trying something new.
