II sighed in relief as the heavy doors slammed shut, separating me from the firefly girl who had been chasing me. Leaning against the cool metal, I took a moment to catch my breath. Where the hell am I now? I wondered, glancing around. The place looked like some kind of abandoned school, with flickering fluorescent lights buzzing annoyingly overhead. Somewhere nearby, an incessant beeping noise, reminiscent of morse code, added to the unsettling atmosphere.

Humming a tune to calm my nerves, I wandered aimlessly through the plain hallway. Lockers lined the walls, and I passed a few rooms but didn't bother to check them out. Suddenly, a chilling, distorted laugh echoed through the corridor: "EhAhAEhAhaAhAe👹." I flinched and spun around, coming face to face with a fly-eyed demon-like creature. Instinctively, I backed away, my heart pounding in my chest. Then, just as quickly as it appeared, the creature vanished into thin air.

I put a hand over my chest, trying to steady my breathing and calm my racing heart. "What the hell was that?" I muttered to myself, shaking off the encounter and continuing down the hall. The morse code beeping grew louder, and I couldn't help but wonder if it might be a clue. But who the hell knows morse code off the top of their head?

The atmosphere became increasingly eerie, and I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. My thoughts were interrupted by a sudden tapping sound. It echoed through the halls like footsteps. Tap... tap... tap... I couldn't pinpoint the direction. "Is someone there?" I called out, my voice trembling slightly.

A smooth, masculine voice responded, "Is someone else here?"

Before I could answer, another buzzing, whirring sound filled the corridor. It wasn't from the lights. The footsteps grew louder, accompanied by the strange noise. Panicking, I started to run, but the sounds only intensified. I glanced back and saw a figure with a large disco ball-like head chasing after me. "WAIT! STOP RUNNING!" he yelled.

In my frantic escape, I tripped and hit my head against the concrete floor. I closed my eyes, bracing for the worst, but nothing happened. The voice softened. "W-where did you go?" he called out, sounding worried.

I opened my eyes and saw the creature walk past me. Its head wasn't glowing red anymore. Slowly, I stood up, my head throbbing. The creature stopped, its disco ball head lighting up for a second. Curiosity got the better of me, and I slammed my fist against a nearby wall. The creature's head lit up again, and it rushed towards the wall, missing me entirely.

"Why does everyone leave me?" he said, a hint of sadness in his voice. I wondered if these creatures were just lost souls. I waved my hand in front of his disco ball head, and he grasped my hand, caressing it gently.

"Are you real? Can you talk?" he asked, his voice filled with longing.

"Uh... yeah," I replied awkwardly, waving my hand in front of his head again. "I'm sorry... I can't see when you don't move or make any noises. I haven't seen anyone or felt a human in such a long time. I only wander these halls aimlessly, so much that I've memorized everything," he explained, still holding onto my hand.

"Okay... Wait, can you help me get out of here?" I asked, feeling a bit guilty for wanting to leave.

"Oh... okay, I'll show you the way," he said, sounding disappointed. He led me through the halls, his grip firm yet gentle. "Are you a child?" he asked, making me chuckle despite the situation.

"No, I'm 23. Just short, I guess," I replied. His head glowed as he observed my appearance, then he snorted and looked embarrassed.

"Sorry! You're just so short, that's all," he sighed, hanging his head low. We walked in silence until we reached a radio emitting the loud beeping noises from earlier. Next to it was an iron door, which looked like it needed a code to open.

"The code is 133769," he said, and the door dramatically swung open.

I stared at the bright white light beyond the door. "Thank you so much!" I exclaimed, giving him a tight hug. He hummed softly in happiness and hugged me back. "Why can't you come with me?" I asked, pulling away.

"I've never really been able to see beyond there. Everything is so quiet over there," he replied, 'looking' at me.

I grinned. "Well, now that I'm here, I can move around and make a lot of noise. We could go together?"

He let out a hum of happiness. "Sure thing, love."

Together, we stepped into the light, ready to face whatever lay beyond the door.
