EIGHT. weeding out the possibilities

TO MAKE a long story short, Jay had handed Kitty Forman the weed he'd hidden in a dog canister. He claimed that "no one had a dog and no one would bother looking". He said this without any knowledge of Mrs. Forman getting rid of half of the "junk" in her house.

The group separated into duos and of course the twins were locked together like the tragedy of the womb that they shared.

Rachel dug through some boxes that Ms. Forman had sitting in her hallway whenever Joshua called out to her.

"Have you talked to Jay?"

"No, but I plan on it."

"Good." Joshua smiled, "He's been calling every night to cry about you. I'm getting annoyed."

Rachel put the flannel in the box down and faced her brother.

"He is?"

"I'm exaggerating some, but yeah. He really does like you, Roach."

Rachel sighed and ran her figures through her hair. She rested her back against a random door and Joshua soon joined her side.

"What's the verdict on your love life?" He asked.

"I really like Jay and have months, but on the other hand, I've claimed that I miss my relationship with Nate, but in reality I think I only miss Nate." She explained, "And sometimes I feel like I only liked Jay because he was available and I feel like a really shitty person."

"It's okay to like people Rachel. It's okay to like multiple people. It's okay to be confused. And it's okay to try and figure out what you want. You gotta follow your heart, dude. That's the most important thing."

Rachel playfully rolled her eyes and threw the flannel at Joshua.

"Thanks for the advice." She smiled, "Come on. We've got weed to find."

JAY AND Ozzie had finally found the weed in Red's pocket over at the Runck household. They had a couple of injuries that they didn't disclose, but the weed was found nonetheless.

The group sat down in the basement, higher than a kite. Rachel and Joshua sat next to each other, their raincoats on from the rain earlier.

"I think it's absolutely insane how hard it rained." Rachel smiled.

"I can feel it now." Joshua smiled.

They decided that it definitely wasn't raining inside anymore and they they would hangout outside with the ugly moose statue Kitty was getting rid of.

"Do you guys remember coming out here?" Ozzie asked.

"No." Gwen smiled, "But I'm glad we did. It ended up being a pretty solid day."

Leia smiled, holding her bottled soda, "I hope this never ends."

"Kids, your school schedules came!" Ms. Runck smiled, running over to hand Nate and Gwen their schedules, "Summer is finally over. All this is gonna end!"

So much for a summer to last all year.
