9:54pm, Tuesday
"Hello?"
"Good morning, is this Mr Ed Warren?"
"This is he? Who is this?""This is doctor Dr Lewis. I'm calling in concern for your wife, Lorraine Warren. She was admitted to us last night after falling unconscious yesterday around 3:00pm."
"What? Is she okay?"
"She will be, she lost blood but we are getting her back on track. But the baby... we aren't too sure."
"What's going on with the baby?"
"Sir, I need you to be-"
"No! What's going on with our baby? I deserve to know!"
A dreadful moment of silence passed...
"The baby's heartbeat stopped. There is a chance the baby has been...deceased for at least a few hours. We ran tests on her and those will determine if the baby is strong enough to be revived. She is under intense care, you are the only person allowed in her room."
"Oh."
"I'm so sorry Mr Warren."

Ed drove faster, fighting back his own tears. His wife was knocked unconscious and the baby was hurt. He knew he shouldn't have went back to work. He should've protected her. This is his fault, Lorraine shouldn't have to go through losing another child.
When he'd finally made it to the hospital, he couldn't bring himself to go in. He'd never really cried in public, but he couldn't help himself. He was scared for his wife and baby. So he sat there, just thinking.
He remembers when they weren't as lucky. He'd got back home too late, their son was already gone. They were told that she was bleeding because the baby could no longer support itself and it put up a good fight. Lorraine cried for months afterwards. He still doesn't think she ever forgave herself, but he's not going to ask. Things like that just never leave a person.
Right now, he has to be strong for Lorraine. She deserves to have the happiness of having a baby. He approached her room, slowly opening the door." Go." Lorraine's voice strong with emotion. He didn't even have to look at her to know that she'd been crying and was very anxious.
"It's Just me,hon." He approached her gently.
"I know. Just please...leave." She begged. She wrapped herself into a tighter little ball.
"I'm not going anywhere." He said sternly, but sympathetically." Ed, please. I can't believe I did this again." She covered her mouth as she sobbed ,finally sitting up and facing him. Ed walked over and scooped her into his lap." I'm not mad, baby. I just want to be here for you, that's all. Our baby is so strong, they'll push through this." He rubbed circles along her back as she cried. When she controlled her breathing she spoke again.
"She." Ed turned to her, confused."What are you talking about?" He asked." She's a girl...or was. I was going to tell you at the appointment you were gonna be at but..." she trailed off, tears welling up." It's a girl?" Ed's smile spread across his face. He rubbed her stomach, kissing her sweetly." You're not mad? I waited all this time to tell you and I've known for a while." Lorraine asked with guilt in her voice." I get why you didn't tell me at first, I know it's all too much at one. I could never be mad you, baby. I love you. Now try to get some rest, it's been a crazy day." Lorraine draped her arms around his body, snuggling next to him.
